Objectives
Knowledge and understanding.

The course examines the general principles and fundamental rules governing the Italian legal system in the field of labor relations, with specific reference both to individual employment relationships and to labor relations and to the labor market rules and practices.



Ability to apply knowledge and understanding

The main objective of the course is to provide students with the ability to apply theoretical legal knowledge to concrete situations, to perceive the ways in which labor law affects business management, to recognize the relevance and the legal consequences of business and other subjects’ behavior, as well as to frame and manage business workers contracts, in compliance with the regulations in force.

SALARIED WORK, SELF-EMPLOYED WORK, PARASALARIED WORK. FORMATION AND EXECUTION OF AN EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP. THE DUTIES OF THE EMPLOYEE. THE POWERS AND THE DUTIES OF THE EMPLOYER. REMUNERATION. SEVERANCE. FREEDOM OF TRADE UNIONISM. TRADE UNION RIGHTS. COLLECTIVE LABOUR AGREEMENT.. STRIKE AND LOCKOUT.

Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING’S GOALS WILL BE CERTIFIED BY AN EXAM WHOSE EVALUATION IS MADE ON 30 POINTS.
THE EXAMINATION PROVIDES AN ORAL TEST WITH 6 OPEN QUESTIONS WITH OPEN ANSWERS ON THE SUBJECTS REFERRED BY THE TEACHER (THE QUESTIONS WILL CONCERN: N°1 ON INTRODUCTIVE NOTES AND FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES; N°1 ON THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIPS; N°1 ON EXECUTION AND TERMINATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP; N° 2 ON SUBJECTS AND OBJECTIVES OF COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS; N° 1 ON THE STRIKE).
THE AIM OF THE ORAL TEST IS TO ASSESS THE LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION AND KNOWLEDGE ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENT ON THE CONTENTS INDICATED IN THE PROGRAM, THE MASTERY OF METHODOLOGICAL INSTRUMENTS AND THE CAPACITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE TO RESOLVE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL PROBLEMS.
THE ORAL TEST WILL BE DONE ON THE DATES PROVIDED BY THE EXAMINATION CALENDAR AND HAS A DURATION OF 30 MINUTES.
IN THE TEST, EACH QUESTION IS EVALUATED WITH A SCORE FROM 1 TO 5, FOR A TOTAL OF 30 POINTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING SCALE OF VALUES: SERIOUSLY INADEQUATE; INSUFFICIENT; SUFFICIENT; FAIRLY GOOD; GOOD. THE TEST WILL BE PASSED WITH THE MINIMUM VOTE OF 18/30.
