Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF LESSONS FOR A TOTAL OF 60 HOURS (10 CFU), DURING WHICH SPECIFIC IN-DEPTH STUDIES WILL BE CONDUCTED THROUGH SEMINARS AND ANALYSIS OF CASE STUDIES DISCUSSED IN CLASS. IN THE LESSONS, THE TOPICS DEALT WITH, AND THE RELATED OPERATIONAL INTERPRETATIONS ARE PRESENTED THROUGH A HOLISTIC APPROACH. THE IN-DEPTH STUDIES AIM TO SHOW HOW THE OPERATORS IN CHARGE OF GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE VARIOUS SECTORAL AND INSTITUTIONAL SYSTEMS CAN TRANSFORM ANY CONSTRAINTS INTO ADVANTAGEOUS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGH THE CREATION OF A PATH MARKED BY QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY.
Verification of learning
ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAMINATION WITH A GRADE IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF A WRITTEN AND AN ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF MULTIPLE-CHOICE AND/OR OPEN-ENDED QUESTIONS. THE MULTIPLE-CHOICE QUESTIONS CONTAIN THREE CHOICES, ONLY ONE OF WHICH IS CORRECT. THE WRITTEN TEST IS HELD BEFORE THE ORAL TEST, COVERS BASIC TOPICS OF THE PROGRAMME, AND IS CONSIDERED TO HAVE BEEN PASSED IF A MINIMUM NUMBER OF POINTS IS REACHED (GENERALLY CORRESPONDING TO 70% OF CORRECT ANSWERS) OR A MINIMUM MARK OF 18/30. THE ANSWERS ARE COUNTED BY AWARDING 1 POINT FOR EACH CORRECT ANSWER AND 0 FOR EACH INCORRECT OR MISSING ANSWER. PASSING THE WRITTEN TEST IS NECESSARY FOR TAKING THE ORAL TEST. THE ORAL TEST COVERS MORE IN-DEPTH AND SPECIALISED CONTENT AIMED AT ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF MASTERY OF THE SUBJECT. THIS LEVEL IS EXPRESSED ON A SCALE OF MARKS FROM 18/30 (LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT) TO 30/30 WITH DISTINCTION (THE CANDIDATE DEMONSTRATES SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THE CONTENT). THE DURATION OF THE TESTS IS ANNOUNCED IN THE CLASSROOM AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH TEST, AS IS THE TIMETABLE FOR THE ORAL TEST. THE FINAL GRADE IN THIRTIETHS IS OBTAINED BY AVERAGING THE RESULTS OF THE WRITTEN AND ORAL TESTS. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT, IN SPECIAL CASES (SUCH AS CONSTRAINTS AND RESTRICTIONS IN THE EVENT OF A HEALTH EMERGENCY) OR FOR ORGANISATIONAL REASONS, THE EXAMINATION MAY ALSO INCLUDE ONLY THE ORAL TEST.
