Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS OF LEARNING THE SKILLS RELATIVE TO THE INSTRUMENTS AND THE MAIN NOTIONS OF THE MOST IMPORTANT OF INNOVATION ECONOMICS, AND OF DEVELOPING THE ABILITY TO TRANSFER SUCH INSTRUMENTS AND NOTIONS TO APPLICATIONS IN REAL PROBLEMS.

KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY OF COMPREHENSION:
- KNOWLEDGE OF METHODOLOGIES OF ANALYSIS OF PROCESSES
- KNOWLEDGE OF METHODOLOGIES AND INSTRUMENTS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE MODELS

KNOWLEDGE AND CAPACITY OF APPLIED COMPREHENSION:
- ABILITY TO USE THE MAIN TECHNIQUES AND INSTRUMENTS FOR THE EVALUATION OF THE SPECIFIC POLICY ON INNOVATION
- ABILITY OF EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT OF POLICIES IN DIFFERENT ECONOMIC CONTEXTS

UPSTROKE SKILLS:
- ABILITY OF CRITICAL ANALYSIS RELATIVE TO THE RESULTS OF POLICIES ON DEVELOPMENT
- ABILITY TO ELABORATE ON COMPLEX TOPICS TO GET SUGGESTIONS FOR FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING POLICIES

INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE;
- MICROECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF INNOVATION;
- DEFINITION AND NATURE OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE, INPUT AND OUTPUT OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY; INDICATORS;
- STRUCTURE OF MARKET AND INNOVATION;
- PATENTS: THEORETICAL MODELS AND EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE;
- MODELS OF TECHNOLOGICAL DIFFUSION;
- VALUTATION OF POLICIES FOR INNOVATION.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE OF INNOVATION ECONOMICS AND POLICY REQUIRES 40 HOURS OF LECTURES IN ROOM. DURING THE LECTURES THE TEACHER FACES THEORETICAL TOPICS AND OPPORTUNE EXERCISES. FOR THIS REASON THE EXERCISES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PLANNED LECTURES.
Verification of learning
ORAL EXAM (DURATION: 20 MINUTES).
DURING THE ORAL EXAM THE STUDENT MUST REPLY TO QUESTIONS RELATIVE TO THE QUESTIONS RELATIVE TO ALL LECTURES.
