Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE, IN A CONCISE AND SUITED FOR APPLICATIONSTHE KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS AND APPLICATIONS OF CLASSICAL MECHANICS, THERMODYNAMICS AND ELECTROMAGNETISM.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
  THE COURSE AIMS TO ENABLE STUDENTS TO ASSIMILATE THE KNOWLEDGE AND KNOW HOW TO SOLVE SIMPLE EXERCISES. IN PARTICULAR, THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EXERCISES ON ELEMENTARY PROBLEMS OF MECHANICS, THERMODYNAMICS AND ELECTROMAGNETISM.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
THE COURSE WILL FACILITATE THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO PRESENT IN A CLEAR AND RIGOROUS THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT SHOULD BE ABLE TO ENUNCIATE PROPERLY DEFINITIONS, THEOREMS AND PROBLEMS RELATING TO THE COURSE CONTENT ITSELF.

MAKING JUDGMENTS:
THE STUDENTS ARE GUIDED TO LEARN IN A CRITICAL AND RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS EXPLAINED TO THEM IN THE CLASSROOM AND ENRICH THEIR JUDGMENT THROUGH THE STUDY OF THE TEACHING MATERIAL INDICATED BY THE TEACHER.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL LECTURES AIMED FOR LEARNING THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF MECHANICS, THERMODYNAMICS AND ELECTROMAGNETISM. EACH LESSON CONSISTS OF ONE OR MORE ARGUMENTS FOLLOWED BY EXAMPLES AND APPLICATIONS.
Verification of learning
(A) WRITTEN TESTS DURING THE COURSE AND FINAL ORAL EXAMINATION TO WHICH STUDENTS ARE ADMITTED IF THEY ACHIEVE A MINIMUM AVERAGE OF 15/30 IN THE WRITTEN TESTS (STUDENTS CAN APPLY TO BE EXEMPTED FROM THE ORAL EXAMINATION IF THEY HAVE ATTAINED AN AVERAGE OF AT LEAST 24/30 IN THE WRITTEN TESTS).
(B) WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMINATION ACCORDING TO THE TIMETABLE SET BY THE BOARD OF EDUCATIONAL AREA FOR ALL THOSE WHO HAVE NOT PASSED THE WRITTEN TESTS DURING THE COURSE. ARE ADMITTED TO THE ORAL EXAMINATION CANDIDATES WHO HAVE ACHIEVED A MARK OF AT LEAST 15/30.
