-KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACQUISITION OF BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN POLYMERIZATION TECHNIQUES APPLIED TO THE SYNTHESIS OF BOTH TRADITIONAL POLYMERS AND NOVEL ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY POLYMER MATERIALS WITH INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS. THE STUDENTS WILL SYNTHESIZE SOME OF THE MOST IMPORTANT SYNTHETIC POLYMERS. -APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACQUISITION OF THE KNOWLEDGES REQUIRED FOR OPPORTUNELY DEFINE REACTION CONDITIONS FOR A SPECIFIC POLYMERIZATION MECHANISM AND KINETIC. -MAKING JUDGEMENTS TO BE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE MOST SUITABLE TECHNIQUE FOR A SPECIFIC POLYMERIZATION REACTION -COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO ORALLY EXPLAIN IN A SYNTHETIC WAY A SPECIFIC TOPIC TREATED WITHIN THE LECTURES -LEARNING SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGES TO GENERAL PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE POLYMERIZATION REACTIONS. |

ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING GOALS IS ASSESSED BY PASSING A FINAL EXAMINATION SCORED FROM A MINIMUM THRESHOLD OF 18 UP TO A MAXIMUM VALUE OF 30. THE EXAM CONSISTS OF AN ORAL DISCUSSION. STUDENTS ARE ALLOWED TO SUSTAIN THE EXAMINATION ONLY AFTER DELIVERING WRITTEN REPORTS CONCERNING THE LABORATORY WORKS. THE ORAL EXAM CONSISTS OF QUESTIONS ABOUT THE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE, INCLUDING THE WORK DONE IN LABORATORY. IT IS FINALIZED TO ASSESS THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE STUDENT. IN THIS OCCASION, THE CAPABILITY OF EXPOSITION AND AUTONOMOUS ORGANIZATION OF THE DISCUSSION USING A CORRECT TERMINOLOGY, WILL BE EVALUATED. |
