KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF SEISMOLOGY TO UNDERSTAND THE PHYSICAL PROCESSES THAT GENERATE EARTHQUAKES, IN ORDER TO DEVELOP NEW IDEAS ON THE STUDY OF SEISMIC PHENOMENA. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO ACQUIRE ADEQUATE TECHNICAL EXPERTISE ON SEISMIC OBSERVATION AND EARTHQUAKES MEASUREMENT, AS WELL AS ON THE ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF EXPERIMENTAL MEASURES OF SISMOLOGICAL TYPE. |
