Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE, IN A WAY CONCISE AND SUITABLE FOR APPLICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASICS AND APPLICATIONS OF NUCLEAR AND SUBNUCLEAR PHYSICS.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
THE COURSE PROVIDES A WIDE AND DEEP PICTURE OF THE CURRENT KNOWLEDGE AND RESEARCH FIELDS IN HIGH-ENERGY PHYSICS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK OUT EXERCISES OR EXAMPLES UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF THE TEACHER. THEY ARE ALSO STIMULATED TO GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF CONCEPT DESIGN FOR HIGH-ENERGY EXPERIMENTS.
Prerequisites
IT IS REQUIRED THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASIC ARGUMENTS OF RELATIVISTIC QUANTUM MECHANICS AND MATHEMATICAL METHODS OF PHYSICS.

PARTICLE ACCELERATORS AND PARTICLE DETECTION.
THE ELECTROMAGNETIC INTERACTION. THE NUCLEAR INTERACIONS AND NUCLEAR MODELS. HADRON INTERACTIONS AT HIGH ENERGY AND THE QUARK MODEL. WEAK INTERACTIONS AND NEUTRINOS. ELECTROWEAK INTERACTIONS. THE STANDARD MODEL.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INCLUDES THEORETICAL LESSONS / PRACTICAL LEARNING OBJECTIVE OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF FUNDAMENTAL INTERACTIONS PHYSICS.
