Objectives
DESCRIBE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF AERODYNAMICS, EXPLAIN THE MECHANISMS UNDERLYING THE GENERATION OF AERODYNAMICS FORCES ON ROAD VEHICLES, AND THE METHODOLOGIES FOR THEIR EVALUATION. AT THE END OF THE COURSE
THE STUDENTS WILL HAVE THE NECESSARY EXPERTISE TO EVALUATE THE AERODYNAMIC PERFORMANCE OF VEHICLES OF DIFFERENT TYPES AND GIVE USEFUL INDICATIONS FOR THEIR PROJECT.
Prerequisites
FOR THE SUCCESSFUL ACHIEVEMENT OF OBJECTIVES IT IS REQUIRED A BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF FLUID MECHANICS SO AS TAUGHT IN THE COURSE OF THE 3-YEAR DEGREE, THE MOST COMMON NUMERICAL METHODS USED IN FLUID DYNAMICS, AND MORE GENERALLY PHYSICAL AND MATHEMATICAL BASES COMMON TO A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING.
