Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF:
- THEORETICAL LESSONS (32 / 3.2CFU HOURS)
- CLASSROOM EXERCISES (18 / 1.8CFU): PERFORMANCE NUMERICAL EXERCISES
- LABORATORY ACTIVITIES (10 / 1CFU): GROUP ACTIVITY OF 2-3 STUDENTS AIMED AT THE CREATION OF A CIRCUIT WITH ASSIGNED PERFORMANCES.
Verification of learning
THE EVALUATION OF THE COURSE WILL BE EXPRESSED IN 30/30. IT WILL TAKE PLACE THROUGH A WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST. THE PURPOSE IS TO VERIFY THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAIN CONCEPTS EXPOSED IN THE TEACHING, TO KNOW HOW TO APPLY THE METHODS OF ANALYSIS AND EXPOSE THEM WITH CRITICAL SPIRIT AND WITH MASTERY OF THE TECHNICAL-SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE.

THE WRITTEN TEST CONSISTS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF NUMERICAL EXERCISES ON THE TOPICS COVERED IN THE COURSE WITH A MAXIMUM DURATION OF 3 HOURS. THE PURPOSE IS TO: 1) VERIFY THE LEARNING OF THE RESOLUTION METHODS OF THE CIRCUITS TREATED DURING THE THEORY; 2) VERIFY THE ABILITY OF SUMMARY AND EXPOSURE OF THE RESOLUTION. SOME EXAMPLES ARE: SIZING OF A FILTER AND / OR OF AN OSCILLATOR WITH CERTAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE TRANSFER FUNCTION, ANALYSIS OF AN ANALOG CIRCUIT CALCULATING THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS, SUCH AS THE OSCILLATION FREQUENCY OF AN OSCILLATOR, THE CUT-OFF FREQUENCY OF A FILTER, THE AREA OF THE POWER DEVICE FOR OUTPUT STAGE AMPLIFIERS. THE COPY OF THE WRITTEN DESCRIPTION IS DELIVERED WITH THE ERRORS MARKED AND POSSIBLE SOLUTION SUGGESTIONS.

THE ORAL TEST HAS AN APPROXIMATE AVERAGE DURATION OF 50 MINUTES AND THE STUDY OF A CIRCUIT IS REQUIRED LOOKING AT THE THEORETICAL ASPECTS EXPLAINED IN THE LECTURES. IT IS AIMED TO: 1) VERIFY THE LEARNING OF THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE THEORY; 2) VERIFY THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY OF THE TOPICS ADDRESSED; 3) VERIFY MASTERY AND CRITICAL SPIRIT IN PROPOSING THE SOLUTION TO THE REQUIRED PROBLEM.

THE OVERALL VOTE HAS A MINIMUM VALUE (18/30) WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS UNCERTAINTIES IN THE APPLICATION OF THE DESIGN METHODS OF THE PROPOSED CIRCUITS, HAS A LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN PROPERTIES OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CIRCUITS AND A LOW EXPOSURE CAPACITY.
THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30/30) IS ATTRIBUTED WHEN THE STUDENT DEMONSTRATES A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE METHODS AND IS ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEMS PROPOSED BY IDENTIFYING THE MOST APPROPRIATE METHODS TO ANALYZE THE CIRCUITS AND SHOW A NOTABLE CAPABILITY TO LINK DIFFERENT TYPES OF COMPONENTS AND CIRCUITS.
THE 30 WITH LAUDE IS AWARDED WHEN THE CANDIDATE SHOWS SIGNIFICANT MASTERY OF THEORETICAL AND OPERATIONAL CONTENT AND SHOWS ABILITY TO PRESENT THE TOPICS WITH REMARKABLE LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND AUTONOMOUS PROCESSING SKILLS EVEN IN DIFFERENT CONTEXTS.
