Traineeship structure data
It is possible to apply for a traineeship by choosing any of the host structures on the ESSE3 platform. Carrying out the internship is subject to the availability of the selected structure.
In University centres, only in-person traineeship will be possible. As regards external host structures, the mode of conducting the placement remains the same, but with exceptions based on justified needs of the selected structure.
Please read the following instructions carefully
Traineeship Rules
- Internship applications can be submitted every month (please note that, during the periods from July 15 to August 31 and from December 18 to January 6, applications will be processed during the first available working week after these periods) by students who have already earned 90 ECTS in their bachelor's degree; 60 ECTS in their master's degree, or reduced to 30 ECTS if the internship is part of the first year of the program, and have COMPLETED the 8-hour Low Risk Worker Training Course.
- No more than 2 applications may be submitted. Before applying for a traineeship, please contact the Commission of your course of study for guidance on the choice.
- Consult your academic tutor before the host structure prepares the training project; once the traineeship has started, inform your tutor, by e-mail or other means to be agreed upon, at least twice during the course of the activities.
- Activities must be completed WITHIN the start and end dates indicated in the training project.
It is important to note that the expected start date of the traineeship, as specified in the project, must be at least 10 days later than the date the project is submitted to the Director for signature. For example, if the student submits the project, by means of a ticket, on the 15th of a given month, the start date must be at least the 25th of the same month, and so on. The same applies to the expected end date: it should be at least 10 days later to prevent unforeseen issues.
Please note that the actual dates of the traineeship will then be recorded in the final documentation.
If the student is UNABLE to complete the activities by the end date indicated in the training project, the Company Tutor must send an email to tirocinidispac@unisa, with the Academic Tutor in cc, to communicate the new end date of the traineeship, attaching the "Postponement of traineeship dates" file.
It is also important to remember that if the organization needs to change, for any reason, the Company Tutor assigned to oversee the intern's activities, compared to what is specified in the training and orientation project, an email must be sent to tirocinidispac@unisa, with the Academic Tutor in cc, to notify the new tutor's name, attaching the "Change Company Tutor" file. - Students may only start the traineeship after receiving the project signed by the Director of the Department.

- The session for the traineeship validation must be booked through the ESSE3 system using the same procedure as for other exams.
- The booking exam must be made no later than seven (7) days before the date of the session.
- The traineeship must be registered within ten (10) days of the graduation call.

- Traineeship validation takes place on a monthly call except in August.
- The December session counts as extraordinary call of the previous academic year and therefore follows the rules of profit exams

Traineeship Agreements
Procedure for Establishing Agreements
Proposals to establish hosting agreements must be initiated by the interested host organizations/companies. The organization must first contact the University Delegate, prof. Antonello RICCO, at aricco@unisa.it.
Following the initial interview with the Delegate, the organization must submit a formal "Request for Agreement" (Richiesta di stipula) via Certified Email (PEC) to ammicent@pec.unisa.it, keeping placement@unisa.it in CC. The required application forms can be found under the "Modulistica" (Forms) section on the following webpage:
https://www.placement.unisa.it/convenzioni-quadro-curriculari/normativa-modulistica
Once the central University Offices have evaluated the request, the designated department will gather all necessary information regarding the proposing organization. If the agreement is deemed to be of strategic interest to the University, the document will be forwarded to the Rector for countersigning. Otherwise, the request will be forwarded to the most appropriate academic Department.
If the Placement Office forwards the agreement proposal to the Department of Cultural Heritage Sciences, the internal evaluation process is structured as follows:
- The expression of interest is forwarded to the Internship Committees and to the Chairs of the relevant Teaching Councils. These governing bodies evaluate the request and, if approved, present it to the Department Board for official approval.
- The agreement can only be finalized and signed upon receiving a favorable resolution from the Department Board.
Please Note:
For administrative and organizational reasons, this process takes place ONLY TWICE A YEAR: in February and October.
Application submissions within the digital management system are activated in May for the first window, and in February of the following year for the second window.
