THE COURSE COVERS THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: THE SYSTEMIC APPROACH. KNOWLEDGE OF THE TERRITORY. ONTOLOGY. LAND USE. NETWORKS. CONCEPT OF MINIMAL SPACE UNIT. THE LOT: IDENTIFICATION, PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION, FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION, LAND REGULATION. THE KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM: ORGANIZATION AND INFORMATION SYSTEMS FOR THE GOVERNMENT OF THE TERRITORY. FROM DATA TO INFORMATION: SIT AS AN INSTRUMENT OF KNOWLEDGE AND DECISION. ANALYSIS OF SPATIAL DATA: TECHNIQUES AND THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL MODELS. URBAN SYSTEMS AND PLANNING PROCESSES: OBSERVATIONS ON THE METHODS OF DELIMITATION OF URBAN SYSTEMS; THE INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS. TO PASS THE EXAM, THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE AN UNDERSTANDING OF AND BE ABLE TO APPLY THE MAIN CONCEPTS PRESENTED IN THE COURSE.
