Objectives
Expected learning outcomes and skills to be acquired:
Acquire the basic training elements related to the application of Classical Mechanics to the study of
structures, through the formulation of mathematical physics models. Acquire type resolution methods
analytical supported by methods of graphic solution.

Knowledge and understanding:
Knowledge of elements of vector algebra, graphical statics, geometry of masses and body dynamics
rigid; beams, restraints and structures; static problem and kinematic problem for beam systems.

Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:
Mastering the methods of stress analysis, the ability to solve simple schemes
structural, both isostatic and hyperstatic.

Autonomy of judgment:
Knowing how to identify the properties of the most common problems inherent in the statics of beam systems.

Communication skills:
Knowing how to present the properties of any problem concerning the statics of beam systems.

Ability to learn:
Knowing how to apply the knowledge acquired in contexts different from those presented during the course for
deal with situations of greater complexity.
Prerequisites
ANALYSIS AND GRAPHIC REPRESENTATION OF STRUCTURAL PROBLEMS.
EXAMINATIONS IN ANALISI MATEMATICA I AND FISICA GENERALE ARE PROPAEDEUTIC.
