THE TWO UNITS ARE BASED ON 63 HOURS OF CLASS LECTURES: 42 HOURS OF Agricultural Economics and Policy AND 21 HOURS OF ELEMENTS OF STATISTICS THE TWO UNITS INCLUDE THEORETICAL LECTURES AND PRACTICAL LECTURES (MAINLY BASED ON EXERCISES AND CASE STUDIES). |
Verification of learning | |
---|---|
Knowledge and abilities acquired by the students during the course will be evaluated through: UNIT .- AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND POLITICS -two inter-course written tests, including 5 open questions on the topics related to the first 4 credits (2 credits + 2 credits), with a maximum score of 30/30 (minimun 18/30 to pass the tests). - an oral interview on the remaining topics of the programme, including also the classroom excercise the for a maximum score of 30/30 (minimum 18/30 to pass it). For students who have not taken the inter-course written tests, or have passed only one of the written tests the final evaluation is based on an oral interview on the entire program of the course or on the remaining part of the topics of the course. UNIT 2- PRINCIPLES OF STATISTICS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY EXCEEDING AN EXAMINATION (MINIMUM 18/30) THAT IT HAVE TO BE OCCURRED IN THE ROUNDS ESTABLISHED BY THE CALENDAR, COMPOSED BY: 1) A WRITTEN TEST IS CONSTITUTED BY 8 EXERCISES ON THE TOPICS: STATISTICAL SURVEY, DATA ANALYSIS IN UNIVARIATE AND BIVARIATE DOMAIN; GRAPHICAL REPRESENTATIONS; LOCATION, VARIABILITY AND SHAPE STATISTICAL INDICES; DEPENDENCE BETWEEN TWO CHARACTERS. THE STUDENT WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE ORAL EXAMINATION IF HE HAS REPORTED A SCORE AT LEAST EQUAL TO 18/30 IN THE WRITTEN TEST. DURING THE WRITTEN TESTING, USE OF THE SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR AND STATISTICAL TABLES IS ADMITTED. 2) AN ORAL EXAMINATION (AT LEAST FOUR QUESTIONS), ABOUT 15/20 MINUTES. THE FINAL VOTE IS DEFINED CONSIDERING THE SCORE ACHIEVED AT THE WRITTEN TEST AND THE EVALUATION OBTAINED AT THE ORAL EXAM. AN ADDITIONAL “CUM LADE” MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS WITH THE MAXIMUM SCORE (30/30) WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED AUTONOMY AND ABILITY TO FACE STATISTICAL PROBLEMS. THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH ASSESSMENT IN THIRTIES (MINIMUM 18/30), OBTAINED AS WEIGHTED AVERAGE (COMPARED TO THE CFU ASSIGNED TO THE TWO UNITS) OF THE SCORE REPORTED FOR EACH UNIT . "CUM LAUDE" TO THE FINAL AVERAGE WEIGHTED SCORE WILL BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE STUDENT WHO HAS SHOWN ABILITY TO LEARN AND TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS AUTONOMOUSLY. |
