The Degree Course in Physiotherapy belongs to the class of degrees in health professions for rehabilitation (Class L/SNT 2).

The course of studies qualifies graduates to exercise the profession of Physiotherapist in public and private healthcare facilities, whether in a permanent or freelance capacity. The qualification also enables access to second-cycle university studies (Master's Degrees and first-level university Master's Degrees).

The aim of the course is to train health workers to exercise their profession independently in the performance of activities aimed at prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in the field of motor skills, higher cortical functions and visceral functions resulting from congenital or acquired pathologies (Ministerial Decree No. 741/1994; Code of Ethics (AIFI).

A five-year secondary school diploma or equivalent is required for admission to the course of study.

The number of places on the degree course is limited on a national basis and admission is subject to passing an admission test.

The Degree Course in Physiotherapy has a duration of 3 years for a total of 180 credits. Attendance of the Course activities is compulsory.

The development of professional skills is achieved through the teaching of theory (lessons, seminars, etc.) and practical training (clinical learning - internship) which also includes the acquisition of relational skills.
Students are also required to engage actively in the internship activities, which constitute one third of the training course(60 credits). The theoretical and practical on-the-job training ensures that, by the end of the course, students will have mastered the skills necessary to exercise the profession of Physiotherapist and will be immediately ready to seek employment.
