THE COURSE AIMS TO INTRODUCE THE STUDENTS TO THE KEY CONCEPTS OF CONSTITUTIONAL HISTORY (WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON STATUAL CIVILIZATION, REVISITATION AND MANTAINANCE OF LAWS AND THE OCCULT POWER OF THE JUDGES). THE LEARNING PROCESS SHOULD PROVIDE THE STUDENTS THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO ORIENTATE THEMSELVES WITHIN THE MAIN THEORETIC AND STORIOGRAPHIC APPROACHES TO CONSTITUTIONALISM, FROM ANCIENT TO NEW REGIME, ESPECIALLY UNDERLINING THE DIALECTICAL SYSTEM BETWEEN DIFFERENT POWERS THAT WAS A SPECIFIC FEATURE OF THE INSTITUTION STRUCTURES IN PRE-REVOLUTIONARY FRANCE, THROUGH THE STUDY OF THE CONFLICTUAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN MONARCHIC POWER AND PARLIAMENTARY POWER OF THE JUDGES. THE MULTICENTENARY PROCESSES WHICH BROUGHT TO THE FIRST CONSTITUTIONAL TEXTS’ FORMALIZATION WILL BE DISCUSSED DURING THE LESSONS, THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF AFFINITIES AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PRE AND POST REVOLUTIONARY CONSTITUTIONS. THE COURSE AIMS TO RESEARCH THE HISTORICAL ROOTS THAT FORM THE PRACTICAL AND CULTURAL IMPRINTING OF THE CURRENT SITUATION AS WELL.
