Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO GIVE STUDENTS A COMPREHENSIVE AND INTEGRATED VISION OF THE HUMAN BODY, ITS ORGAN SYSTEMS, PROCESSES THAT RUN AND CONTROL MECHANISMS OF THESE IN NORMAL CONDITIONS. TOPICS COVERED BY THE LEARNER REQUIRE A STUDY BASED NOT SOLELY OR MAINLY ON THE ABILITY TO REMEMBER (MNEMONIC), BUT A RATIONAL STUDY, BASED ON AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE MECHANISMS AND PROCESSES DESCRIBED AND THE ABILITY TO RELATE THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. THE STORAGE OF DATA WILL OFTEN BE FORCED (EG. VALUES OF PHYSIOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF THE BODY), SOME CONSIDERED "CRUCIAL", BUT IT WILL BE AIMED AT UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESSES STUDIED AND THEIR CONTROL IN ORDER HOMEOSTASIS, FUNDAMENTAL NOTION OF PHYSIOLOGY AND BELOW TO EACH TOPIC.
AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY UNDERSTAND THE FUNCTIONING OF THE VARIOUS ORGANS OF THE HUMAN BODY, THEIR INTEGRATION IN THE APPARATUS, THE GENERAL MECHANISMS OF INSPECTING THEM UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE INTERACTION WITH THE ENVIRONMENT; FOUNDATIONAL KNOWLEDGE OF EDUCATIONAL-TRAINING, AIMED AT A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES RELATED TO THE LEARNING OF SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE RELEVANT TO THE PROFESSIONAL FIGURE INTO BEING.
THE LEARNER ACQUIRES, THEREFORE, SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES FOR UNDERSTANDING AND APPROACH TO TACKLE AND CLARIFY COMPLEX PROBLEMS.
