WITHIN THE TRAINING AVAILABLE, THE COURSE IS THE ONLY OCCASION IN WHICH THE STUDENT ADDRESSES THE RELATION AMONG HISTORY, SOCIETY AND SPORTS IN THE CONTEMPORARY AGE. IT AIMS AT CONTEXTUALIZING SOME EMBLEMATIC SPORT EVENTS AND THEIR PROTAGONISTS, INSERTING THEM IN THE MORE GENERAL FRAMEWORK OF THE CONDITIONS, CAUSES AND EFFECTS WHICH GAVE THEM A PARTICULARLY RELEVANT MEANING, AS WELL AS HOW THEY ARE PRESENTED BY MASS MEDIA. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES KNOLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE COURSE DEVELOPS AN ANALYSIS OF THE RELATION BETWEEN AMATEUR AND PROFESSIONAL SPORT AND CONTEMPORARY SOCIETIES. THE ANALYSIS IS ALSO EXTENDED TO EXTRA-EUROPEAN COUNTRIES, WHICH HELP TO UNDERSTAND IN A BETTER WAY THE DYNAMICS OF THE GLOBAL SOCIETY. ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO RE-CONSTRUCT HISTORICAL CONTEXTS OF SPORT EVENTS AND HOW THEY ARE PRESENTED BY MEDIA. FURTHERMORE, STUDENTS, WILL LEARN TO UNDERSTAND ELEMENTS OF UNITITY AND DIVERSITY AMONF SPORTS, CULTURE AND POLITICS IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD AND, MORE IN GENERALE, TO APPLY THE CATEGORIES OF HISTORIOGRAPHICAL ANALYSIS. INDEPENDENCE OF JUDGMENT STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE METHODS AND TOOLS OF EVALUATION ON THE BASIS OF EVENTS AND SPECIFITY OF THE CONTEXT. COMMUNICATION SKILLS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO EXPOSE THE MAIN QUESTIONS CONCERNING RELATED TO CONTEXTUALIZATION OF SPORT EVENTS, USING THE SPECALISED LANGUAGE. LEARNING SKILLS STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO AUTHONOMOUSLY DEEPEN THE MAIN SCIENTIFIC-METHODOLOGICAL ISSUES CONCERNING SPORT EVENTS AND THEIR MEDIATIC REPRESENTATION |

THE COURSE PROVIDES FOR 36 HOURS OF TEACHING (6 CFU), WITH THE FOLLOWING METHODOLOGIES: - LESSONS ON WIDE SUBJECTS, FOLLOLWED BY DISCUSSION WITH THE STUDENTS; - PROJECTION OF AUDIO-VISUAL MATERIALS, FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION WITH THE STUDENTS. EVERY THEME OBJECT OF THE COURSE WILL BE SEPARATED IN TWO PARTS: AN INTRODUCTION HISTORICAL TO THE MATTER AND PROJECTION OF AUDIOVISUAL MATERIAL. |
