Objectives
THE COURSE PRESENTS TO THE STUDENTS SOME FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF CLASSICAL PHYSICS, WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF PROVIDING THE NECESSARY TOOLS FOR UNDERSTANDING THE PHYSICAL PHENOMENA AT THE BASIS OF MOVEMENT ACTIVITIES.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:

THE COURSE INTENDS TO PROVIDE THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF ELEMENTS OF MECHANICS, FROM THE KINEMATICS OF THE POINT TO THE DYNAMICS OF MATERIAL SYSTEMS AND FLUIDS. PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO POSSIBLE SPORTS APPLICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:

DURING THE COURSE, STUDENTS ARE INTERACTIVELY CALLED TO CARRY OUT SOME EXERCISES RELATED TO THE TOPICS COVERED.

Prerequisites
KNOWLEDGE OF SOME ELEMENTS OF BASIC MATHEMATICS IS REQUIRED, SUCH AS THE SOLUTION OF FIRST AND SECOND DEGREE EQUATIONS, ELEMENTARY ALGEBRIC CALCULATION, ELEMENTS OF PLAN TRIGONOMETRY, ETC.

DYNAMICS: ENERGY AND WORK – POTENTIAL ENERGY – CONSERVATIVE FORCES (LESSON HOURS 2, EXERC. HOURS 2)

DYNAMICS: MULTI-BODY SYSTEMS – ANGULAR MOMENTUM, CENTER OF MASS, THIRD PRINCIPLE OF DYNAMICS (LESSON HOURS 2, EXERC. HOURS 1)

RIGID BODIES: MOMENT OF INERTIA – CONSERVATION OF THE ANGULAR MOMENTUM – SPIN MOTION (LESSON HOURS 3, EXERC. HOURS 1)

FLUID MECHANICS: DENSITY AND PRESSURE – ARCHIMEDE'S PRINCIPLE – PASCAL'S PRINCIPLE – REAL FLUIDS AND VISCOSITY (HOURS LESSON 2, WORKING HOURS 0)

Teaching Methods
TEACHING CONSISTS OF A TOTAL OF 36 HOURS OF FRONTAL DIDACTICS. LESSONS AND EXERCISES WILL BE GIVEN WITH THE AID OF AUDIOVISUAL MATERIAL. EXERCISES WILL INCLUDE THE DIRECT PARTICIPATION OF STUDENTS, WHO WILL BE INVITED TO ATTEND AND DISCUSS THE EXERCISES PROPOSED BY THE TEACHER IN THE CLASSROOM, TOGETHER WITH THE REST OF THE CLASS.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES AND THE VERIFICATION OF THE ABILITY TO APPLY AND DEVELOP IN A CRITICAL AND AUTONOMOUS WAY THE EXPOSED ARGUMENTS WILL BE CERTIFIED BY A FINAL ORAL EXAM WITH GRADES ON A SCALE OF 30. IN THE DISCUSSION, QUESTIONS AND EXERCISES WILL BE PROPOSED TO VERIFY THE LEVEL OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE STUDENT. THE MINIMUM VOTE (18/30) IS ATTRIBUTED WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS UNCERTAINTIES AND A LITTLE EXPOSURE CAPACITY. THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (30/30) IS GRANTED WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS A COMPLETE AND DEEP KNOWLEDGE OF THE DIFFERENT TOPICS DISCUSSED, AND IS ALSO ABLE TO RESOLVE THE PROPOSED EXERCISES. THE LODE IS ATTRIBUTED WHEN THE CANDIDATE SHOWS MASTERY OF THE ARGUMENTS, AND PRESENTS THE TOPICS WITH GOOD LANGUAGE PROPERTIES AND AUTONOMOUS PROCESSING CAPACITY, EVEN IN CONTEXTS DIFFERENT FROM THOSE PROPOSED BY THE PROFESSOR.
