Objectives
FOR THE STUDENTS OF LM51, THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO TWO TEACHING MODULES OF 6 CREDITS (ECTS) EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF 72 HOURS OF LESSONS.
MODULE 1. CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY OF DEVELOPMENT (6 ECTS, 36 HOURS)
MODULE 2. CULTURUAL PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION (6 ECTS, 36 HOURS)
FOR THE STUDENTS OF LM57 THE COURSE CONSISTE ONLY IN THE MODULE 2. CULTURUAL PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION (6 ECTS, 36 HOURS).

THE COURSE PROVIDES AN OVERVIEW OF THE THEORETICAL FOUNDATIONS AND THE METHODS FOR INVESTIGATING CULTURAL ISSUES IN EDUCATIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY. THE MAIN PURPOSE IS TO OFFER KNOWLEDGE AND METHODOLOGIES FOR TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLEX RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PSYCHOLOGY, CULTURE, DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION. PARTICULAR ATTENTION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE STUDY OF DEVELOPMENTAL CONTEXTS, TO THE ANALYSIS OF THE CULTURE OF EDUCATION, TO THE LINK BETWEEN LEARNING, HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND THE EMERGENCE OF THE SELF IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXT.
THE COURSE HAS THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES: 1) TO ACQUIRE THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT FROM CULTURAL PERSPECTIVE; 2) TO DISCUSS THE MAIN AUTHORS AND THEMES OF THE DISCIPLINE; 3) TO LEARN AND BECOME AWARE OF THE COMPLEXITY OF THE INTERCONNECTION OF INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES AND CULTURAL DYNAMICS.

THEORIES AND RESEARCHES RELATED TO THE STUDY OF THE MAIN PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCES FROM A CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY PERSPECTIVE (52 H FOR THE LM51 AND 26HFOR THE LM57). THE METHODS ADOPTED IN CULTRUAL PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT (20H FOR THE LM51 AND 10H FOR THE LM 57).

Teaching Methods
FOR THE STUDENTS OF LM51 THE COURSE IS DIVIDED IN TWO TEACHING MODULES OF 36H EACH, FOR A TOTAL OF 72 HOURS OF LESSONS
OF LECTURES/ PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES AND CASE STUDIES.
FOR THE STUDENTS OF LM57 THE COURSE CONSISTS OF 36 HOURS OF LECTURES/ PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES AND CASE STUDIES.
Verification of learning
FOR THE STUDENT OF LM51 THE EXAM IS FOR BOTH MODULES TOGHETER AND CAN BE TAKEN ONLY AT THE END OF THE SECOND MODULE.
FOR THE STUDENTS OF LM57 THE EXAMS WILL BE SOLELY ABOUT THE CONTENT OF THE MODULE CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY OF EDUCATION.
FOR THE MODULE 1), THE EXAM IS BASED ON A WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAMINATION. THE WRITTEN EXAM WILL BE STRUCTURED WITH MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS, THE QUESTIONS WILL BE MAINLY AIMED AT ASSESSING THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED. THE ORAL EXAM WILL BE AIMED AT VERIFYING THE MASTERY OF THE CONTENTS, THE CLARITY OF OF THE SCIENTIFIC LANGUAGE. ONLY FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS, INTERMEDIATE TESTS MAY BE SCHEDULED IN ORDER TO FACILITATE THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF THE FINAL TEST.
FOR MODULE 2, THE EXAMINATION IS BASED ON A WRITTEN AND ORAL EXAM. THE EVALUATION WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AS WELL AS THE ACCURACY OF THE LANGUAGE. THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE BASED ON, AT LEAST, 30 QUESTIONS (MULTIPLE CHOICES). THE ORAL EXAM WILL BE BASED ON THE DISCUSSION OF, AT LEAST, THREE DIFFERNT TOPICS.
