Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO IMPROVE THE PREPARATION OF STUDENTS IN MATHEMATICS THROUGH THE STUDY OF BASIC ISSUE ON WHICH IT STANDS MATHEMATICS IN VIEW OF THE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS IN PRIMARY SCHOOL. IN PARTICULAR, THE GOAL IS TO PERCEIVE THE STUDENT MATHEMATICS NOT AS A SEPARATE ENTITY IN ITSELF, BUT AS A FUNDAMENTAL ELEMENT OF THE CULTURE OF VARIOUS PERIODS, AND THEREFORE SUBJECT TO AN INTERACTION WITH OTHER SECTORS AND EVOLUTION OF CULTURE. THE COURSE ALSO AIMS TO ENABLE STUDENTS TO THE ACQUISITION OF USEFUL LINGUISTIC ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE CLEARLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED

YOU NEED ONLY BE AWARE OF BASIC CONCEPTS OF ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY AND ANALYSIS.

THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE SOME BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF MATHEMATICS, SETTING THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF HISTORICAL ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT. IN PARTICULAR, IT AIMS TO PROVIDE AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOUNDATIONAL ASPECTS OF MATHEMATICS BY FOCUSING ALSO ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATHEMATICS, HISTORY AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION. THE. LOGICAL ARRANGEMENT OF GEOMETRIC CONSTRUCTION IN CLASSICAL MATHEMATICS. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLYGONS WITH RULER AND COMPASS. FROM THE "EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY" TO THE "NON-EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY."
