Objectives
TO LEARN ABOUT THE EDUCATIONAL POTENTIAL OF LITERATURE, TO BE ABLE TO INTERPRET, TO ANALYSE AND COMMENT ON LITERARY TEXTS AND TO HAVE READING HABITS AS CONTINUING PERSON EDUCATION.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
-TO ACQUIRE THE BASICS OF ITALIAN LITERARY HISTORY TROUGH AN IN-DEPTH STUDY OF THE MOST SIGNIFICANT AUTHORS AND TEXTS OF OUR LITERARY TRADITION FAVORING THE ABILITY TO PROCESS THE CONTENT OF THE DISCIPLINE IN AN APPROPRIATE WAY AT SCHOOL LEVEL WHICH WILL BE USED;
-TO FOSTER A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF THE DISCIPLINE BUT ALWAYS DEPENDING ON A DESIGN HYPOTHESIS WITHIN AN EDUCATIONAL AND DIDACTIC PATH.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
-KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAIN METHODS FOR A STUDY AS PROPER AND PROFITABLE AS POSSIBLE (BIBLIOGRAPHIES, CATALOGUES, INDEXES, DATABASES, ETC.) ALSO USING THE MOST APPROPRIATE INSTRUMENTS TO THE STUDY PATH CHOSEN;
-ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE MAIN HISTORICAL-CRITICAL NODES PERTAINING TO AUTHORS AND THEMES OF OUR LITERARY TRADITION;
-ABILITY TO READ AND CRITICALLY INTERPRET DATA AND ISSUES RELATED TO DISCIPLINE AND TO REFLECT ON TOPICS AND KEY ISSUES ENCOURAGING AUTONOMOUS JUDGEMENT TOO.

HISTORICAL-LITERARY KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED IN THE HIGH SCHOOL. ELEMENTARY CAPACITY FOR ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS OF A LITERARY TEXT.

THE COURSE AIMS TO EXPLAIN SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF ITALIAN LITERATURE FROM THE 19TH AND 20TH CENTURIES THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF AUTHORS (FOSCOLO, MANZONI, LEOPARDI, NIEVO, CARDUCCI, VERGA, D'ANNUNZIO, PASCOLI, UNGARETTI, TOZZI, PIRANDELLO, SVEVO, MORAVIA, MORANTE, CALVINO) AND SIGNIFICANT WORKS, ESPECIALLY THE NARRATIVE IN PROSE, HIGHLIGHTING, WITH ATTENTION TO THE EVOLUTION OF THE LITERARY GENRES, THE TRANSITION FROM THE MODULES OF THE NARRATIVE OF THE NINTH OF CENTURY TO THOSE OF THE NARRATIVE OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY AND THE TIES OF THIS WITH I TEXTS OF THE COEVA POETRY.
