Objectives
IMPROVE THE MATHEMATICAL / GEOMETRIC PREPARATION OF STUDENTS THROUGH THE STUDY OF BASIC QUESTIONS ON WHICH MATHEMATICS IS BUILT IN VIEW OF ITS TEACHING IN PRIMARY SCHOOL.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
- BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF A PREDOMINANTLY GEOMETRIC NATURE;
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN RESEARCH IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION IN THIS FIELD.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
- DEVELOP SKILLS IN STUDENTS TO TACKLE SIGNIFICANT PROBLEMS IN THE TEACHING OF GEOMETRY AND TO FREE THEMSELVES FROM THE NUMEROUS MISCONCEPTIONS THAT POLLUTE THEIR EDUCATION

YOU NEED ONLY BE AWARE OF BASIC CONCEPTS OF ALGEBRA, GEOMETRY AND ANALYSIS.

THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE SOME BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF MATHEMATICS, SETTING THEM IN THE CONTEXT OF HISTORICAL ORIGIN AND DEVELOPMENT. IN PARTICULAR, IT AIMS TO PROVIDE AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE FOUNDATIONAL ASPECTS OF MATHEMATICS BY FOCUSING ALSO ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATHEMATICS, HISTORY AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION. THE. LOGICAL ARRANGEMENT OF GEOMETRIC CONSTRUCTION IN CLASSICAL MATHEMATICS. THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE POLYGONS WITH RULER AND COMPASS. FROM THE "EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY" TO THE "NON-EUCLIDEAN GEOMETRY." CONICS: FROM SECTIONS OF THE CONE PLANE CURVES THE BIRTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE NOTION OF SET OF AXIOMATIC METHOD, TO INFINITY
