Objectives
Possess the theoretical foundations and the disciplinary language of the physical sciences, as well as the relative didactic knowledge, with particular reference to the learning objectives in the nursery school and in the first cycle of education.
Prerequisites
In order to be able to apply it to physics, knowledge of the basic topics of mathematics, geometry and physical sciences dealt with in secondary school courses is required. In particular, the knowledge of elementary algebra, of the resolutive methods of equations and inequalities of first and second degree, of the trigonometry of Euclidean geometry and of basic analytical geometry is required.
Contents
Experiments in mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics and acoustics carried out with the active participation of students and under the guidance of the teacher.
Teaching Methods
The course includes laboratory activities, for a total of 12 hours (1 CFU), with the support of the blended Learning method for sharing teaching materials. They are aimed at deepening the fundamental concepts of mechanics, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, optics and acoustics. Each 2-hour laboratory session consists of the performance and subsequent discussion of an experiment, carried out with common material and simple implementation in the classroom.
Verification of learning
The achievement of the teaching objectives is certified by the presentation of a group work (with a maximum of five students for each group) on each of the laboratory activities proposed during the course and accompanied by didactic sheets. With regard to online activities, the candidate must present, via the E-Lena platform, a final product consisting of a personal work that certifies the use of video material and online documentation produced by the teacher on the platform itself. The product must focus on at least one of the topics covered by the online teacher, carried out with a method chosen by the student, which can be a report (in word or pdf format), or a multimedia product (which is not more than 10 megabytes) which:
• a short video of an experiment performed by the student
• a multimedia presentation (Power Point or similar)
• concept maps (eg created using the Minds map tool)
Texts
1. Course notes and teaching material provided by the teacher.
2. Online material produced and / or indicated by the teacher
