LET THE STUDENTS GET STARTED TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THEORIES AND MODELS OF SCHOOL EVALUATION TO IMPROVE THE PRACTICES IN BASICS SCHOOL (KINDERGARTEN AND PRIMARY SCHOOL). KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: -PROMOTE THE ACQUISITION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE REGARDING THE DIFFERENT LEVELS OF EVALUATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD; CRITICALLY ANALYSE THE DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO EVALUATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD, HIGHLIGHTING THEIR MAIN CHARACTERISTICS AND POTENTIAL; -UNDERSTAND THE FUNDAMENTAL PHASES OF THE EVALUATION PROCESS WITHIN THE DIFFERENT SCHOOL CONTEXTS AND THE RELATED METHODOLOGICAL DIFFERENCES. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: -TO ENABLE STUDENTS TO PLAN RESEARCH PATHS AND ACTIVITIES IN DIFFERENT SCHOOL LEVEL, THROUGH THE ANALYSIS OF METHODS AND RESULTS OF EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN KINDERGARTEN AND PRIMARY SCHOOL; -PROVIDE PRACTICAL-APPLICATIVE SKILLS WITH RESPECT TO SOME TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS THAT CAN BE USED IN THE DIFFERENT EVALUATION PHASES. |

THE COURSE WILL DEAL WITH ISSUES CONCERNING STUDIES ON EVALUATION IN SCHOOLS AND LONG-LIFE LEARNING, REFLECTING ON THE DIFFERENCES THAT EXIST BETWEEN THE CONCEPT OF ACTION AND THAT OF EVALUATION PROCESS. A THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK WILL BE PROVIDED ON EDUCATIONAL EVALUATION IN FORMAL EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS, IN RELATION TO MICRO, MESO AND MACRO LEVELS. METHODS FOR THE EVALUATION OF LEARNING PRODUCTS WILL THEN BE INVESTIGATED AND IN PARTICULAR THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MAIN TOOLS FOR THE EVALUATION OF LEARNING WILL BE PRESENTED, IN RELATION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES. |

Verification of learning | |

THE ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING IS SCHEDULED THROUGH A WRITTEN TEST (40 ITEMS MULTIPLE CHOICE) AND AN ORAL EXAM. WRITTEN TEST IS MANDATORY AND THE STUDENT WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE ORAL EXAM WITH A SCORE OF AT LEAST 21/40. STUDENTS WHO ATTEND CLASSES REGULARLY (WITH A MINIMUM ATTENDANCE PERCENTAGE OF 80%) WILL BE GIVEN ONE OR MORE INTERMEDIATE TESTS. PASSING THE TESTS WILL GIVE ACCESS TO THE ORAL EXAM, EXEMPTING FROM THE WRITTEN TEST. |
