Objectives
THE TEACHING IS FOCUSED ON THE BASIC UNDERTSANDING OF THE PSYCHOLOGY OF DISABILITIES AND INTEGRATION FROM A CULTURAL PSYCHOLOGY POIN OF VIEW. HERE THE KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCE THAT WILL BE PROMOTED:
THE STUDY OF TIPICAL AND ATIPICAL PSYCHOLOGICAL FUNCTIONS IN THE CHILDHOOD AND IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTEXTS.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
-- PROVIDE A DEFINITION OF THE CONCEPT OF DISABILITY
-- PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON THE MAIN DEFICITS , WITH RESPECT TO THE DEFINITION OF THEIR CHARACTERISTICS AND AETIOLOGY;
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
- TO TRACE FOR EACH TYPE OF DISABILITY A PICTURE OF THE CURRENT RESEARCH AND INTERVENTIONS THAT CONCERN THE DIFFERENT AREAS OF DEVELOPMENT;
- EXAMINE THE RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN DISABILITIES AND LIFE CONTEXTS
EXAMINE THE ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGY IN THE STUDY OF DISABILITIES AND IN VARIOUS AREAS OF INTERVENTION. TO PROMOTE THE DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF ISSUES RELATED TO SPECIFIC DISORDERS.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF 48 HOURS OF LECTURES/ PRACTICAL ACTIVITIES AND CASE STUDIES.
Verification of learning
THE EXAMINATION IS BASED ON AN ORAL TEXT. THE EVALUATION WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED AS WELL AS THE ACCURACY OF THE LANGUAGE.
FOR STUDENTS ATTENDING THE CLASS SOME INTERMEDIATE
TEXTS (MAX 2) WILL BE PROVIDED.
