Objectives
ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE MAIN SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE RECOVERY OF BIOMASS AND PRODUCTION WASTE AND ON THE METHODS OF CHROMATOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION FOR OBTAINING AND CHARACTERIZING BIO-PRODUCTS (PURE EXTRACTS OR MOLECULES). DEVELOPMENT OF THE ABILITY TO CHARACTERIZE SAMPLES OF WASTE MATRICES (FINGERPRINTS) AND THEIR COMPONENTS FOR THE VALORIZATION IN DIFFERENT SUPPLY CHAINS (FOOD, HERBAL, COSMETIC, NUTRACEUTICAL)

TECHNOLOGICAL OPERATIONS, PRODUCTION PURPOSES AND PROCESS FLOWS
PLANT BIOMASS CHARACTERIZATION TECHNIQUES: THERMAL ANALYSIS, RESIDUAL HUMIDITY TITRATION, QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF INGREDIENTS AND IMPURITIES

THE COURSE OF TECHNOLOGIES FOR THE RECOVERY AND ANALYSIS OF PLANT BIOMASS 6 CFU (42 HOURS) PROVIDES LECTURES 4 CFU (28 HOURS) AND EXERCISES IN THE LABORATORY 1 CFU (7 HOURS) EXERCISES IN THE CLASSROOM 1CFU (7 HOURS)
THE FREQUENCY OF CLASSROOM LESSONS AND LABORATORY EXERCISES IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING A FINAL EXAM WITH AN EVALUATION IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN TEST WITH OPEN-ENDED AND MULTIPLE QUESTIONS FOLLOWED BY AN ORAL EXAM. TO ACCESS THE ORAL TEST, A MINIMUM GRADE OF 15/30 MUST BE OBTAINED IN THE WRITTEN TEST. THE FINAL EXAM IS PASSED WITH THE MINIMUM GRADE OF 18/30.
