Objectives
INTRODUCTION TO THE PRINCIPLES OF BIO-ECONOMY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF ORGANIZATIONS IN AGRICULTURAL CHAINS AND IN THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTED AREAS.

THE MAIN KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED WILL BE:
-PRINCIPLES OF BIOECONOMY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT OF ORGANIZATIONS IN AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAINS AND PROTECTED AREAS.
-THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY.
-ELEMENTS OF SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE EXPLOITATION OF RESOURCES IN AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAINS AND IN PROTECTED AREAS.
-ELEMENTS OF RELATIONAL MARKETING FOR THE CO-CREATION OF VALUE IN AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAINS AND IN THE SYSTEM OF PROTECTED AREAS.
-BASIC ELEMENTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS, SELF-ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

THE MAIN CAPABILITIES WILL BE:
-UNDERSTAND THE NEED AND WAYS TO COMBINE BUSINESS PERFORMANCE NEEDS, ENHANCEMENT OF RESOURCES, INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIES IN THE MANAGEMENT OF AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAIN ORGANIZATIONS AND THE PROTECTED AREAS SYSTEM.
-UNDERSTAND ENTREPRENEURIAL FUNCTIONS AND ROLES AND CONCEIVE THE ELEMENTS CONSTITUTING PROJECT AND / OR BUSINESS INITIATIVES WITH A VIEW TO SELF-ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE POTENTIAL.
Prerequisites
IN ORDER TO UNDERSTAND AND BE ABLE TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE PROVIDED IN THE TEACHING, IT IS NECESSARY TO HAVE PASSED THE PREPARATORY EXAM OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND POLICY (I YEAR).

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE INCLUDES 6 CFU (42 HOURS) OF TEACHING INCLUDING LECTURES, EXERCISES, SEMINARS AND ACTIVITIES ON FIELD. IN PARTICULAR, THERE ARE 4 CFU (28 HOURS) OF CLASSROOM LESSONS AND 2 CFU (14 HOURS) OF EXERCISES, SEMINARS AND ACTIVITIES ON FIELD.
THE COURSE IS ORGANIZED AS FOLLOWS:
- THE LECTURES DEAL WITH ALL THE TOPICS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM;
- THE EXERCISES ARE PROVIDED TO SUPPORT THE DISCUSSION OF MORE TECHNICAL AND OPERATIONAL CUTTING TOPICS AND ARE ORGANIZED IN GROUP ACTIVITIES;
- THE SEMINARS EXPLORE TOPICS OF PARTICULAR RELEVANCE AND CURRENT AFFAIRS WITH THE CONTRIBUTION OF EXPERTS AND PROFESSIONALS IN THE SECTOR;
- THE ACTIVITIES ON FIELD CONSIST OF VISITS TO ORGANIZATIONS IN THE AGRICULTURAL SUPPLY CHAIN AND THE PROTECTED AREAS SYSTEM DURING WHICH THE LEARNERS OBSERVE AND / OR EXPERIENCE SPECIFIC PROBLEMS OF INTEREST TO THE COURSE.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN EXAM WITH EVALUATION IN THIRTIETHS. THE EXAM INCLUDES THE REALIZATION OF A PROJECT WORK BY THE STUDENT AUTONOMOUSLY OR IN A GROUP AND A FINAL ORAL EXAM THAT CAN TAKE PLACE ON DIFFERENT DAYS, SCHEDULED.
THE PROJECT WORK CONCERNS SPECIFIC TOPICS AND PROBLEMS TREATED THEORETICALLY DURING THE LESSONS AS WELL AS DEALING WITH THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED DURING THE SEMINAR ACTIVITIES AND IN THE FIELD. THE PROJECT WORK INCLUDES A WRITTEN REPORT AND A MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION (PPT, VIDEOS, AND SIMILAR TOOLS) THAT WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE END OF THE COURSE OR DURING THE EXAM, HAVING AVAILABLE ABOUT 20 MINUTES IN TOTAL. THE AIM IS TO VERIFY THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED, THE DEGREE OF UNDERSTANDING OF THE PROBLEMS STUDIED AND THE ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE THE RESULTS ACHIEVED.
THE FINAL ORAL EXAM, CONSISTING OF A DISCUSSION LASTING NO MORE THAN 20 MINUTES, MOVES FROM THE CONTENTS OF THE PROJECT WORK AND EXTENDS TO THE ASSESSMENT OF THE OVERALL LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENTS IN RELATION TO THE CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM, AS WELL AS THE ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE WITH LANGUAGE EFFECTIVENESS AND TO DEVELOP SOLUTIONS IN THE AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT.
EACH TEST IS EVALUATED IN THIRTIETHS AND IS CONSIDERED PASSED WITH THE MINIMUM MARK OF 18/30. THE FINAL MARK IS GIVEN BY THE WEIGHTED ARITHMETIC AVERAGE OF THE MARKS REPORTED IN THE PROJECT WORK AND THE FINAL ORAL EXAM.
