Objectives
THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE IS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS IN ANALYSIS AND UNDERSTANDING THE STRATEGIC GOVERNMENT AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT ISSUES OF AGRICULTURAL COMPANIES AND PROTECTED AREAS IN THE OPTICAL OF VITALITY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT. IN THE CURRENT SCENARIO, THE NEED TO TRANSFER NOT ONLY ADEQUATE ANALYSIS METHODOLOGIES BUT ALSO NECESSARY TECHNIQUES TO DEVELOP THOSE MANAGERIAL SKILLS USEFUL TO ADDRESS BASIC PROBLEMS OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT , SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IN RESPECT OF THE PRINCIPLES OF ENHANCEMENT OF THE PROTECTED AREAS.

ONCE THE STUDENT HAS UNDERSTANDED THE PRINCIPLE MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES AND POLICIES OF AGRICULTURAL COMPANIES AND PROTECTED AREAS, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO ANALYZE AND USE IN A CRITICAL MANNER WHAT HAS BEEN LEARNED TO ADDRESS THE DYNAMICITY OF THE CONTEXT. THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT WORKS, STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO VALUE THE DISTINCTIVE SKILLS USEFUL IN SEARCHING FOR CREATIVE SOLUTIONS WITHIN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR AND THE PROTECTED AREAS SYSTEM.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO ANSWER IN A CLEAR, COMPULSORY AND EXHAUSTIVE WAY BOTH TO THE QUESTIONS OF THE WRITTEN TEST AND TO THOSE OF ANY ORAL TEST. THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT WORKS, THE STUDENT WILL ALSO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO BUILD A PRESENTATION IN POWER POINT AND EXPLAIN THEIR ANALYSIS IN A SYNTHETIC WAY.
LEARNING SKILLS: THE STUDENT MUST DEMONSTRATE A GOOD LEARNING SKILLS BEING ABLE TO DEEPEN HIS KNOWLEDGE ON RELEVANT AND RELEVANT BIBLIOGRAPHICAL REFERENCES FOR THE FIELD OF STUDY.

- BUSINESS, ENVIRONMENT AND MARKET RELATIONS (2 HOURS)
- THE HIERARCHY OF STRATEGIES: CORPORATE, COMPETITIVE AND FUNCTIONAL (3 HOURS)
- THE DIRECTION-PROGRAMMING AND CONTROL CYCLE (2 HOURS)
- OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT AND THE INPUT-TRANSFORMATION-OUTPUT CYCLE (1 HOUR)
- THE BUSINESS FUNCTIONS: PURCHASING AND LOGISTICS; PRODUCTION, ORGANIZATION, SALES AND MARKETING, HUMAN RESOURCES, FINANCE (12 HOURS)
- SUSTAINABILITY IN THE AGRO-FOOD CHAIN (2 HOURS).
- EU FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR AGRI-FOOD CHAINS (2 HOURS)
- TOOLS TO SUPPORT THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE AGRO-FOOD CHAIN (2 HOURS)
- THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROJECT WORK (12 HOURS)

THE CONTENT OF THE COURSE CAN BE BROKEN DOWN INTO SEVERAL LESSON BLOCKS, THE DURATION OF WHICH DEPENDS ON THE LEVEL OF PREPARATION OF THE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIARITY WITH THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. ON AVERAGE, THE COURSE IS STRUCTURED AS FOLLOWS:

I BLOCK (24 HOURS):
UNDERSTANDING OF THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF FARMS BUSINESSES AND PROTECTED AREAS. THE MAIN BUSINESS THEORIES. STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT. THE ANALYSIS OF THE VARIOUS BUSINESS FUNCTIONS.

II BLOCK (6 HOURS):
SUSTAINABILITY IN THE AGRO-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN - EU FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR AGRO-FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS - TOOLS TO SUPPORT THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE AGRO-FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN

III BLOCK (12 HOURS):
PROJECT WORK ELABORATION. THE STUDENTS, DIVIDED INTO GROUPS, ANALYZE SPECIFIC CASE STUDIES OF COMPANIES IN THE AGRICULTURAL SECTOR AND DEVELOP A PLAN FOR DEVELOPING A BUSINESS IDEA. FINALLY, THEY ILLUSTRATE THE BUSINESS MODEL BEST SUITED TO THE REALITY BEING STUDIED. THE PRESENTATIONS GIVE RISE TO DISCUSSIONS THAT ALLOW TO INTEGRATE THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS DEEPENED DURING THE COURSE.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL BE ORGANIZED IN LECTURES, DISCUSSIONS OF NEWS ARTICLES, COMPANY TESTIMONIALS AND GROUP WORK. AFTER A FIRST PHASE IN WHICH THE TEACHER WILL TRANSFER THE PREPARATORY CONTENTS TO THE STUDY OF AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES AND PROTECTED AREAS, THE STUDENTS WILL WORK ON THE ANALYSIS OF EMPIRICAL CASES WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON THE MAIN MANAGEMENT PROBLEMS IN ORDER TO ENHANCE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF THE AGRI-FOOD SUPPLY CHAINS IN CAMPANIA WITH A VIEW TO SYSTEMIC SUSTAINABILITY.
Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN ORAL EXAM WITH AN ASSESSMENT OUT OF THIRTY.
FOR THE STUDENTS, A FIRST MOMENT OF VERIFICATION IS REPRESENTED BY THE PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT WORK. EACH GROUP HAS 20 MINUTES FOR THE POWER POINT PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT. A FURTHER 10 MINUTES ARE DEVOTED TO QUESTIONS.
DURING THE COURSE 2 TESTS WILL BE CARRIED OUT BASED ON MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS AND AIMED AT VERIFYING THE PROGRESSIVE ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE. THE FIRST TEST WILL BE HELD HALFWAY THROUGH THE COURSE WHILE THE SECOND TEST WILL BE HELD AT THE END OF THE COURSE. THE POSITIVE OUTCOME OF THE INDIVIDUAL TESTS WILL FORM A BASIS FOR THE FINAL ASSESSMENT WHICH WILL BE DETERMINED AFTER PASSING AN ORAL INTERVIEW ON THE TOPICS COVERED DURING THE COURSE.
THE ORAL EXAM CONSISTS OF A SUMMARY INTERVIEW THAT TRACES THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS PROVIDED IN THE TEACHING PROGRAM AND IS AIMED AT ASCERTAINING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING CAPACITY ACHIEVED BY THE STUDENT, AS WELL AS VERIFYING THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY OF A APPROPRIATE LANGUAGE AND THE AUTONOMOUS ORGANIZATION OF THE EXHIBITION.
