Objectives
THE GENERAL OBJECTIVE IS TO SUPPORT STUDENTS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INTEGRATED APPLICATION SKILLS OF MANAGEMENT SKILLS, AGRICULTURAL ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AND NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LEGISLATION IN THE TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF PROTECTED AREAS AS REFERENCE MODELS FOR THE VALUE OF RESOURCES PROMOTION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- KNOWLEDGE OF MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES, AGRICULTURAL ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AND NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LEGILSATION
- KNOWLEDGE OF TERRITORY MANAGEMENT ISSUES
- UNDERSTANDING INNOVATIVE MODELS, TECHNIQUES AND TOOLS IN CONSISTENCY WITH THE SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE MARKET
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
- ABILITY TO APPLY MANAGEMENT AND MARKETING SKILLS TO THE TERRITORY IN AN INTEGRATED WAY

AUTONOMY OF JUDGMENT
ONCE THE STUDENT UNDERSTANDS THE MAIN METHODOLOGIES OF TERRITORY ANALYSIS AND THE TECHNIQUES OF TERRITORIAL MARKETING, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO USE WHAT LEARNED CRITICALLY. THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT WORKS, STUDENTS WILL LEARN TO APPLY USEFUL MAREKTING POLICIES FOR THE VALORISATION OF RESOURCES AND PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
THE STUDENT MUST BE ABLE TO ANSWER IN A CLEAR, COMPULSORY AND EXHAUSTIVE WAY BOTH TO THE QUESTIONS OF THE WRITTEN TEST AND TO THOSE OF ANY ORAL TEST. THROUGH THE PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT WORKS, THE STUDENT WILL ALSO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO BUILD A PRESENTATION IN POWER POINT AND EXPLAIN THEIR ANALYSIS IN A SYNTHETIC WAY.
Prerequisites
ALTHOUGH IT DOES NOT PROVIDE FOR PREREQUISITES, IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE STUDENT POSSESS THE BASIC KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED WITH THE ATTENDANCE OF THE COURSE OF MANAGEMENT OF FARMS AND PROTECTED AREAS (II YEAR)

THE CONTENTS OF THE PROGRAM ARE DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS, THE TREATMENT OF WHICH WILL HAVE A TECHNICAL-PRACTICAL CUT BY APPROPRIATELY RECALLING THEORETICAL ELEMENTS ACQUIRED IN PREVIOUS YEARS OF COURSE ATTENDANCE:
- NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LEGISLATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND OPERATION OF PROTECTED AREAS (12 HOURS)
- TYPOLOGICAL VARIETY AND FUNCTIONS OF THE PROTECTED AREA SYSTEM AS PLACES AND MODELS OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (12 HOURS)
- THE TECHNICAL, ECONOMIC AND MARKETING MANAGEMENT OF PROTECTED AREAS BETWEEN PROTECTION FUNCTION AND ENHANCEMENT PURPOSE AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN PROTECTED AREAS (12 HOURS)
THE COURSE CONTENT CAN BE BROKEN DOWN INTO SEVERAL LESSON BLOCKS, THE DURATION OF WHICH DEPENDS ON THE LEVEL OF PREPARATION OF THE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIARITY WITH THE BASIC CONCEPTS OF MARKETING. ON AVERAGE, THE COURSE IS STRUCTURED AS FOLLOWS:
I BLOCK (12 HOURS):
THE NATIONAL AND EUROPEAN LEGISLATION FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT AND FUNCTIONING OF PROTECTED AREAS.

II BLOCK (12 HOURS):
CLASSROOM SEMINARS (2 HOURS). LABORATORIES (6 HOURS). FIELD ACTIVITIES (4 HOURS)

III BLOCK (12 HOURS):
PROJECT WORK ELABORATION. THE STUDENTS, DIVIDED INTO GROUPS, ANALYZE SPECIFIC CASE STUDIES AND DEVELOP A PLAN FOR THE TECHNICAL, ECONOMIC AND MARKETING MANAGEMENT OF PROTECTED AREAS BETWEEN PROTECTION FUNCTION AND ENHANCEMENT PURPOSE AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE IN PROTECTED AREAS. THE PRESENTATIONS GIVE RISE TO DISCUSSIONS THAT ALLOW TO INTEGRATE THE THEORETICAL CONTENTS DEEPENED DURING THE COURSE.

IL CORSO SARÀ ORGANIZZATO IN LEZIONI FRONTALI E SONO PREVISTI SEMINARI, LABORATORI E ATTIVITÀ IN CAMPO.
I LABORATORI SONO FINALIZZATI ALL’APPLICAZIONE TECNICO-OPERATIVA DEL COMPLESSO DI CONOSCENZE MULTI-DISCIPLINARI ACQUISITI DURANTE IL CDS E INTEGRATE A LIVELLO PRATICO CON LE ATTIVITÀ DI LABORATORIO E PREVEDONO ATTIVITÀ INDIVIDUALI E/O IN GRUPPO.
LE ATTITIVTÀ IN CAMPO CONSISTONO IN VISITE PRESSO ENTI E ORGANIZZAZIONI IMPRENDITORIALI DI PARCHI E AREE PROTETTE, CORREDATE DI TESTIMONIANZA DI ESPERTI E OPERATORI E FINALIZZATE ALLO STUDIO DI CASI REALI.
DURANTE LE ATTIVITÀ SUL CAMPO I DISCENTI SARANNO IMMERSI IN UN AMBIENTE DI APPRENDIMENTO REALE DE TIPO LIVING LABORATORY E SPERIMENTERANNO SITUAZIONI REALI DI DECISION MAKING E PROBLEM SOLVING OGGETTO DI INTERESSE DEL LABORATORIO.

DURING THE FIELD ACTIVITIES THE LEARNERS WILL BE IMMERSED IN A REAL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT OF THE LIVING LABORATORY TYPE AND WILL EXPERIENCE REAL SITUATIONS OF DECISION MAKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SUBJECT OF INTEREST TO THE LABORATORY.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL BE ORGANIZED IN LECTURES AND SEMINARS. MOREOVER, WORKSHOPS AND FIELD ACTIVITIES ARE PLANNED.

Verification of learning
THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE TEACHING OBJECTIVES IS CERTIFIED BY PASSING AN INTERVIEW BASED ON THE PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF A PROJECT WORK PRODUCED BY THE STUDENT INDEPENDENTLY OR IN SMALL GROUPS AND CONCERNING A PRACTICAL-OPERATIONAL PROBLEM RELATING TO REAL CASES.
THE PROJECT WORK INVOLVES THE CREATION OF A WRITTEN REPORT AND A PRESENTATION IN PPT (OR SIMILAR) WHICH WILL BE DISCUSSED IN THE CLASSROOM AT THE END OF THE TEACHING ACTIVITIES AND/OR DURING THE EXAMINATION HAVING ABOUT 20 MINUTES AVAILABLE DURING WHICH THE LEARNERS WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE SKILLS AND COMPETENCES ACQUIRED THROUGH THE SIMULATION OF REAL OPERATIONAL ROLES.
