KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCES RELATED TO THE MANAGEMENT OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESS. THE COURSE, BASED ON THE NEED TO ADOPT AN UNIFIED APPROACH TO THE NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT, WHICH TAKES INTO ACCOUNT, SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE ASPECTS OF MARKETING, PRODUCT DESIGN AND ORGANIZATION, WILL ALLOW TO LEARN THE COMPLEX REALITY OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PROBLEMS WHICH MUST BE ADDRESSED WITHIN AN ORGANIZATION. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE FOR THE EFFECTIVE AND EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES. THE COURSE, IN FACT, INTEGRATES THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL APPROACH STARTING FROM THE PREMISES THAT WITHOUT THE REFERENCE TO THE PRACTICE, THE THEORY LOSES ITS MEANING AND IT BECOMES ABSTRACT AND DIFFICULT TO APPLY; AND ON THE OTHER SIDE, A PRACTICAL ACTIVITY CAN LEAD TO POOR RESULTS IF IT MISS ROBUST THEORETICAL REFERENCES AND CLEAR GUIDELINES. THE LECTURES WILL THEREFORE BE COMPLEMENTED BY THE ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION OF REAL CASES TO VERIFY ON FIELD APPROACHES AND METHODOLOGIES PROPOSED DURING THE COURSE. MAKING JUDGEMENTS. STUDENTS WILL DEVELOP A FULL CAPACITY FOR ANALYSIS AND CRITICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE ISSUES RELATED TO THE MANAGEMENT OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. MOREOVER, THROUGH THE ACQUISITION OF KNOWLEDGE OF STRATEGIC PLANNING AND OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT, STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO FORMULATE AND IMPLEMENT APPROPRIATE STRATEGIES FOR NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT. COMMUNICATION SKILLS. STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE VARIOUS STAKEHOLDERS, BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL TO THE COMPANY, INTERESTED AND INVOLVED IN NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES. AND IN PARTICULAR, WITH POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, TECHNOLOGY SUPPLIERS, BACKER OF INNOVATION PROJECTS. LEARNING SKILLS. THE STUDENT THROUGH THE INTEGRATION OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICAL SKILLS, WILL BE ABLE TO TACKLE AND SOLVE ALL THE SPECIFIC STRATEGIC AND ORGANIZATIONAL PROBLEMS THAT WILL ARISE IN THE MANAGEMENT OF NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES. MOREOVER, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN MORE GENERAL COURSES ABOUT THE MANAGEMENT OF INNOVATION PROCESSES. |

THE FINAL EXAM WILL CONSIST IN AN ORAL INTERVIEW AIMED TO VERIFY THE STUDENT'S CAPABILITIES TO EXPRESS IT IN A CLEAR AND APPROPRIATE WAY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE. THE AVERAGE DURATION OF THIS ORAL EXAMINATION WILL BE OF 20 MINUTES. |
