Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
AFTER HAVING RECONSTRUCTED THE EVOLUTION OF TECHNOLOGIES THAT HAVE CHANGED THE WEB OVER TIME, THE COURSE WILL ENABLE THE STUDENT TO UNDERSTAND THE GREAT CHANGES OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION UP TO ITS MOST ADVANCED FORMS (IOT AND AUGMENTED REALITY), AND HOW COMPANIES RESPOND TO THE CHALLENGE OF CREATING VALUE WITH RENEWED DIGITAL TOOLS AND STRATEGIES.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
THE COURSE, USING EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING TECHNIQUES AND REAL CASE STUDIES, AIMS TO PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ON THE COMPLEXITY OF DIGITAL CHALLENGES ON AN ORGANIZATIONAL, STRATEGIC AND CULTURAL LEVEL, IN THE DIRECTION OF A NEW DIGITAL HUMAN ENTERPRISE.

THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE BASES TO UNDERSTAND HOW THE DIGITAL REVOLUTION HAS CHANGED THE WAYS OF DOING BUSINESS, MAKING IT NECESSARY TO RETHINK MANAGEMENT. FINALLY, THE TEACHING AIMS TO DEVELOP THE ABILITY TO EVALUATE THE USE AND INTEGRATION OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES IN THE MANAGERIAL CONTEXT.

THE COURSE (60 HOURS TOTAL), WHICH THE STUDENT IS INVITED TO UNDERTAKE, STARTS FROM THE ANALYSIS OF THE SCENARIO CHARACTERIZED BY WEB 2.0, FOCUSING ON ITS CHARACTERISTICS, TOOLS AND IMPLICATIONS FOR MANAGEMENT. FROM THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL MEDIA WE MOVE ON TO EXAMINE THE SUBSEQUENT REVOLUTION OPERATED BY BIG DATA, IN THE CONTEXT OF THE SO-CALLED WEB 3.0. THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL INNOVATION ON COMPETITION AND BUSINESS MODELS OF COMPANIES IS INVESTIGATED (30 HOURS).
IN PARTICULAR, FOUR MAJOR COMPANIES IN THE TECHNOLOGY SECTOR ARE EXPLORED: APPLE, AMAZON, FACEBOOK, GOOGLE. THEY HAVE GENERATED A WEALTH OF SIGNIFICANT SIGNIFICANCE, SIMULTANEOUSLY RAISING VARIOUS CRITICAL ISSUES. THE CHALLENGE REPRESENTED BY THE DIMENSIONS OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OFFERS COMPANIES NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO COMPETE EFFECTIVELY ON GLOBAL MARKETS, AS LONG AS THEIR CHANGE IS ORGANIZATIONAL, STRATEGIC AND CULTURAL, COMBINING WITH CREATIVITY IN A NEW “HUMAN DIGITAL ENTERPRISE” DIMENSION (30 HOURS).
Teaching Methods
LECTURES, CASE STUDIES ANALYSIS, TESTIMONIALS. IN PARTICULAR, THE LESSONS ARE DEDICATED TO THEORETICAL ASPECTS AND DISCUSSIONS OF SIGNIFICANT BUSINESS CASES IN THE DIGITAL SECTOR. CORPORATE WITNESSES WILL PROVIDE THEIR EXPERIENCE.
Verification of learning
ORAL EXAM. THE EXAMINATION CONSISTS OF AN ORAL DISCUSSION ON THEORETICAL ASPECTS AND CASE STUDIES ANALYZED IN THE COURSE, IN ORDER TO VERIFY ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, THE USE OF AN APPROPRIATE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE AND THE ABILITY TO RELATE THE CONCEPTS.
