Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
THE COURSE AIMS TO DEVELOP KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS RELATED TO THE CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE AND RESEARCH-BASED START-UPS AS THE MAIN TOOL FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROCESSES. STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND THE SPECIFICITIES OF ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECTS ON WHICH THIS TYPE OF INNOVATIVE START-UPS ARE BASED, AND WILL ALSO ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE TO UNDERSTAND AND MANAGE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER PROCESSES. STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE CONTEXT WITHIN WHICH THESE ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECTS MOVE AND THE INTERCONNECTIONS BETWEEN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ACTORS INVOLVED IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT, ALSO CONSIDERING THE EVOLUTION OF INNOVATION MODELS IN THE DIRECTION OF OPEN INNOVATION.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING.
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED FOR THE EVALUATION AND MANAGEMENT OF RESEARCH-BASED ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECTS AND INNOVATIVE START-UPS. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED BOTH IN THE DIRECT MANAGEMENT OF RESEARCH-BASED ENTREPRENEURIAL PROJECTS AS WELL AS IN PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN THE SUPPORT TO INNOVATIVE START-UPS.

THERE ARE NOT PREREQUISITES. HOWEVER, TO SUSTAIN THE EXAM ARE SUGGESTED KNOWLEDGE OF STRATEGY AND INNOVATION MANAGEMENT.

Teaching Methods
THE COURSE WILL HAVE A DURATION OF 60 HOURS (10 CREDITS, MAINLY DEVOTED TO LECTURES (56 HOURS). COMPLETING THE COURSE, 4 HOURS OF SEMINARS WITH ENTREPRENEURS AND EXPERTS IN BUSINESS CREATION PROCESSES.
Verification of learning
THE ASSESSMENT OF THE LEARNING WILL BE CARRIED OUT THROUGH A FINAL TEST WHICH WILL CONSIST OF AN ORAL INTERVIEW THAT AIMS TO VERIFY THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND THE STUDENT'S ABILITY TO EXPRESS IT IN A CLEAR AND ADEQUATE WAY. THE AVERAGE DURATION OF THIS ORAL EXAM WILL BE ABOUT 20 MINUTES. TO PASS THE TEST THE STUDENT HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE A KNOWLEDGE OF THE ARGUMENTS OF THE COURSE. EXCELLENCE IS ACHIEVED BY DEMONSTRATING DEEP ARGUMENTATION AND ABILITY TO EXPLORE THE CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE VARIOUS THEMES DEVELOPED IN THE COURSE
