Objectives

MAIN AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS KNOWLEDGE ON STRATEGIC FIRM BEHAVIOUR IN GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE MARKETS CHARACTERIZED BY DIFFERENCES, AT NATIONAL LEVEL, BETWEEN POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SYSTEMS.

STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE ANALITICAL TOOLS USEFUL FOR UNDERSTANDING STRATEGIC FIRM'S BEHAVIOUR IN GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE MARKETS CHARACTERIZED BY DIFFERENT NATIONAL CONTEXTS.

STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY MICROECONOMIC PRINCIPLES AND MODELS IN ORDER TO DESCRIBE REAL WORLD PHENOMENA WHERE THERE ARE FIRMS OPERATING IN GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE MARKETS, CHARACTERIZED BY DIFFERENCES, AT NATIONAL LEVEL, BETWEEN POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL SYSTEMS.

Verification of learning

THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE IS CERTIFICATED THROUGH A SUCCESSFUL EXAM, GRADED ON A BASE OF 30 WITH A MINIMUM OF 18/30.

THE EXAM IS MADE OF A (WRITTEN) TEST AND AN ORAL TEST.

THE (WRITTEN) MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST IS MADE OF 10 QUESTIONS (20 MARKS) AND 5 OPEN ENDED QUESTIONS (10 MARKS) TO BE ANSWERED IN 90 MINUTES.

THE ORAL TEST LASTS ABOUT 20 MINUTES AND IS BASED ON QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS OF THE COURSE PROGRAM.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS TEST IS TO ASCERTAIN THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, AS WELL AS TO TEST THE UNDERSTANDING USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY AND THE ABILITY TO ORGANIZE THE DISCUSSION ON THE THEORETICAL SUBJECTS.
