Objectives
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASICS OF THE CONTEMPORARY HISTORY, ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE MAIN TOPICS OF THE DISCIPLINE AND ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND EVENTS AND PROCESSES
- ABILITY TO APPLY THE KNOWLEDGE GAINED IN CONTEMPORARY HISTORY TO THE ANALYSIS OF FURTHER AND MORE PARTICULAR PROBLEMS OF THE FIELD.
- ABILITY TO INTERPRET CRITICALLY DATA AND PROBLEMS WHICH ARE TYPICAL OF THE CONTEMPORARY HISTORY AND ABILITY TO REFLECT UPON ITS MAIN TOPICS, FORMULATING INFORMED JUDGEMENTS.
- ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE, USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY, INFORMATION AND PROBLEMS CONCERNING THE FIELD OF CONTEMPORARY HISTORY TO SPECIALIST AND NON SPECIALIST AUDIENCES.

Prerequisites
BASIC PREREQUISITE ARE IN DEPTH KNOWLEDGE OF THE GENERAL CHARACTERS, THE PRINCIPAL EVENTS AND THE SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC PROCESSES OF ITALIAN, EUROPEAN AND WORLDWIDE HISTORY FROM THE RESTORATION TO THE END OF XX CENTURY.
