Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH THE PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCE NECESSARY TO USE OF TEACHING STRATEGIES AND TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING/LEARNING CONTEXT.
STUDENTS WILL KNOW:
- THE MAIN ACTIVE-LEARNING STRATEGIES;
- THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING/LEARNING PROCESSES.
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- DESCRIBE THE CHARACTERISTICS, THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK, AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF THE MAIN TEACHING STRATEGIES;
- EXAMINE THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN EDUCATION.

Contents
THE COURSE WILL COVER THE FOLLOWING CONTENTS:
- THE MAIN ACTIVE-LEARNING STRATEGIES;
- THE ROLE OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING/LEARNING PROCESSES.
Teaching Methods
THE COURSE CONSISTS OF HEURISTIC LECTURES WHICH INCLUDE TEACHER'S EXPLANATION ALTERNATED WITH IMPORTANT MOMENTS OF CONFRONTATION AND DISCUSSION IN WHICH STUDENTS WILL BE ENGAGED IN ASKING QUESTIONS, EXPOSING IDEAS, QUESTIONING, AND REFLECTING CRITICALLY. EXPLANATIONS WILL BE SUPPORTED BY SLIDES (POWERPOINT TYPE).
Verification of learning
STUDENTS LEARNING WILL BE ASSESSED THROUGH AN ORAL EXAM. THE ORAL EXAM COVERS THE COURSE CONTENTS (AT LEAST THREE). STUDENTS HAVE TO DEMONSTRATE THAT THEY MASTER COURSE CONTENTS, DEFINITIONS, AND REFERENCES USING THE SPECIALIST LANGUAGE IN A CORRECT AND PERTINENT WAY.
