Objectives
THE COURSE WILL INTRODUCE THE STUDENT THE MAIN ISSUES OF AESTHETICS AND PROVIDE HIM THE ESSENTIAL TERMS OF THE CURRENT PHILOSOPHICAL DISCUSSION, FOCUSING ON AESTHETICAL TOPICS.
Prerequisites
AN ADEQUATE COMPREHENSION OF THE BASIC PHILOSOPHICAL LEXICON.

AESTHETICS A. AESTHETICS OF CONFLICT

THE COURSE AIMS TO EXAMINE THE DYNAMICS THROUGH WHICH, IN OUR TIME, COEXIST AND INTERWOVEN PERVASIVE SHAPES OF HOMOGENIZATION OF FEELING AND VIOLENT CLAIM OF IDENTITY. IF GOAL OF THIS COURSE IS TO ANALYZE AND UNDERSTAND THE DEEP REASONS OF THIS PHENOMENON, FOR THIS AIM WILL BE IDENTIFIED AND OBSERVED EXEMPLARY PLACES – LITERATURE, ART, CINEMA – OF THE TWENTIETH CENTURY THAT SHOW SPECIFIC METHODS OF ORGANIZING AND TAKING SHAPE OF FEEL-IDENTITY-WAR LINK. SPECIFIC ATTENTION WILL THEN BE GRANT TO THE ROLE PLAYED BY THE MEDIA IN THE CONTEMPORARY WORLD.

AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE COURSE ARE TO BE CONSIDERED THE ACTIVITIES OF UNISARTE AND THE LABORATORY OF PHILOSOPHY AND LANGUAGES OF IMAGE.

AESTHETICS B. AESTHETIC EXPERIENCE AND CONFLICT

THE COURSE AIMS TO ANALYZE THE SHAPES THAT AESTHETIC EXPERIENCE ASSUMES IN AN INCREASINGLY MULTI-ETHNIC SOCIETY AND THUS INCREASINGLY CONFLICTED. IN ORDER TO PRESENT A SHAPE OF CONNECTION IN WHICH THE RECIPROCAL DIFFERENCES, RATHER THAN DELETE AND DENY EACH OTHER, SHOULD COME TO A MUTUAL HOSTING, WILL BE INTERROGATED PLACES OF TWENTIETH-CENTURY THOUGHT THAT COULD PROVIDE THE THEORETICAL TOOLS NEEDED FOR THE PURPOSE.

ORAL EXAMINATIONS, ORAL RELATIONS DURING THE COURSE. WRITTEN REPORTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROFESSOR.
