Objectives
THE TEACHING IS AIMED TO AN UPPER INTERMEDIATE COMMUNICATION COMPETENCE IN ORDER TO DISCUSS ABOUT POLITICS THROUGH COMPARATIVE FRENCH-ITALIAN CONSIDERATIONS, TO REACH STUDENTS TO DEVELOP THE FOUR COMPETENCES (WRITTEN AND ORAL COMPREHENSION AND PRODUCTION) AT B2/C1 LEVEL OF THE COMMON EUROPEAN FRAMEWORK. AN ABILITY IS EXPECTED TO APPLY THE STUDIED RULES, TO UNDERSTAND AND COMMUNICATE, TO READ, TRANSLATE AND ANALYSE THE TEXTS OF THE PROGRAM, FOCUSING ON GRAMMAR RULES TO APPLY INDIPENDENTLY IN A FREE OR DONE EXERCISE THANKS TO A RICH AND ELABORATED VOCABULARY. STUDENTS HAVE TO SHOW TOOLS OF PRAGMATICS, SOCIOLINGUISTICS AND DISCOURSE ANALYSIS FOR A CRITICAL APPROACH TO LANGUAGE, ISSUES AND SPECIALIZED TEXTS, WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO MEDIA AND POLITICAL LANGUAGE. THEY HAVE TO SHOW TO UNDERSTAND AND USE SELF-CONFIDENTLY EVERYDAY EXPRESSIONS AND SPECIALIZED LANGUAGE, TO RECOGNISE THE CORRECT LEARNING IN A EUROPEAN LANGUAGE AT A WORLDWIDE DIFFUSION TO AFFIRM ONE'S OWN IDEAS.
Prerequisites
TO THE MODULE OF LANGUAGE, CULTURE AND INSTITUTIONS OF FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES – MAGISTRALE STUDENTS HAVE TO PASS THE FRENCH EXAMS OF POLITICAL SCIENCES AND INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS IN UNISA, OR HAVE TO SHOW A B1 CERTIFICATED LEVEL.

Teaching Methods
THE TEACHING THAT WILL TAKE PLACE OVER THE ENTIRE ACADEMIC YEAR CONSISTS OF A SINGLE MODULE OF 84 HOURS DIVIDED INTO TWO TEACHINGS OF 42 HOURS OF FACE-TO-FACE LECTURES INTENDED FOR THE READING OF TEXTS AND FURTHER IN-DEPTH STUDIES THAT WILL BE ADMINISTERED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
IF DESIRED, IT IS ALSO POSSIBLE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF 2 HOURS PER WEEK OF LANGUAGE PRACTICE ENHANCEMENT.
GIVEN THE HIGHLY INTERDISCIPLINARY NATURE OF THE COURSE OF STUDY, SPECIAL ATTENTION WILL BE GIVEN TO GROUP WORK AND COOPERATIVE LEARNING.
POSSIBLE SEMINARS AND CONFERENCES FOR IN-DEPTH STUDY AND LABORATORY OF SELF-STUDY.
IN ITINERE TESTS CARRIED OUT UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE LECTURER IN CHARGE, THE EVALUATION OF WHICH WILL BE CONSIDERED VALID FOR THE FINAL WRITTEN TEST (SUBJECT TO AN OVERALL ATTENDANCE BETWEEN LECTURES AND TUTORIALS OF NOT LESS THAN 70 PERCENT), MAY BE ENVISAGED. IT IS ALSO RECOMMENDED TO USE THE MULTIMEDIA CLASSROOM OF THE UNIVERSITY LANGUAGE CENTER WHERE IT IS POSSIBLE TO MAKE USE OF ON-LINE (THROUGH AN APPROPRIATE SITOGRAPHY) AND OFF-LINE (THROUGH PURCHASED LANGUAGE SOFTWARE) TEACHING AIDS FOR INDEPENDENT LEARNING.
ATTENTION: ATTENDANCE IS CONSIDERED AS SUCH ONLY IF THE STUDENT ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN THE ACTIVITIES, WITH APPROPRIATE INTERVENTIONS AND THE REGULAR AND PUNCTUAL EXECUTION OF THE TASKS ASSIGNED IN CLASS, CARRIED OUT ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN. OCCASIONAL AND/OR PASSIVE ATTENDANCE DOES NOT LEAD TO ANY RESULTS AND DOES NOT GIVE RISE TO THE STATUS OF ATTENDING.
Verification of learning
WRITTEN TEST (1 AND 2) AND ORAL TEST (1 AND 2)-TO BE TAKEN ENTIRELY IN FRENCH.
A WRITTEN TEST (1) AIMED AT ASCERTAINING THE ACQUISITION OF THE ABILITY TO ELABORATE AN ARGUMENTATIVE TEXT (DEPÊCHE/COMPTE RENDU). STARTING FROM AN AGENCY NEWS, THE STUDENT WILL HAVE TO BRIEFLY REWRITE THE INFORMATION IN A DOUBLE VERSION: ONE FOR AND ONE AGAINST ITS CONTENTS, AS IF THEY WERE WRITTEN BY TWO DIFFERENT AUTHORS, OF OPPOSITE OPINIONS. FINALLY, WITH DATA DRAWN FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE OR FANTASY HE/SHE WILL HAVE TO FREELY REWORK THE SAME INFORMATION IN A SHORT BACKGROUND ARTICLE
A WRITTEN TEXT (2), PREPARED USING THE TOPICS STUDIED, AIMED AT ASCERTAINING THE ACHIEVEMENT OF DESCRIPTIVE AND ARGUMENTATIVE SKILLS "COMMENTAIRE" AND "DISSERTATION".
