KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL HAVE BASIC AND ADVANCED KNOWLEDGE ON: TECHNIQUES OF 3D COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND VIRTUAL REALITY MAIN TECHNIQUES OF MODELING, LIGHTING AND RENDERING MAIN FEATURES OF 3D ENGINES AND UNITY THE ALGORITHMS AND COMPUTATIONAL METHODS WHICH ARE BASED ON MANY OF THE INTERACTIVE 3D GRAPHIC APPLICATIONS APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO: USE 3D ENGINE FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SIMPLE GAMES DESCRIBE, DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL APPLICATIONS WITH PROPERTIES OF LANGUAGE AND ABILITY TO SYNTHESIZE |

INTRODUCTION TO 3D COMPUTER GRAPHICS FUNDAMENTALS OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS (3D SPACE, GEOMETRIC PRIMITIVES, TRANSFORMATIONS) SURFACE MODELING (POLYGON MODELING, PARAMETRIC SURFACES, SUBDIVISION SURFACES, ETC.) RADIANCE LOCAL ILLUMINATION AND RAY TRACING CAMERA NOTES ON HUMAN PERCEPTION STEREOSCOPY HAPTIC INTERACTION AUGMENTED REALITY INPUT AND OUTPUT DEVICES, 3D ENGINES AND UNITY: INTRODUCTION TO 3D ENGINES AND UNITY MAIN FEATURES IN UNITY |

ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES OF THE TEACHING IS CERTIFIED BY EVALUATION EXAM. THE GRADES ARE ON A SCALE OF 30. THE EXAM CONSISTS OF A WRITTEN TEST AND AN ORAL TEST. THE WRITTEN TEST IS PRELIMINARY TO THE ORAL TEST AND CONSISTS OF ESSAY QUESTIONS ON THE SUBJECTS OF THE TEACHING PROGRAM AND ON A PRACTICAL TEST WITH THE UNITY ENVIRONMENT. THE TEST TAKES PLACE PRIOR TO THE ORAL TEST AND IS PASSED WITH THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE PREDETERMINED MINIMUM SCORE. THE WRITTEN TEST WILL NORMALLY HAVE A DURATION OF NOT LESS THAN 120 MINUTES AND IS DESIGNED TO VERIFY THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY APPLY THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE PROPOSED ISSUES. THE ORAL TEST CONSISTS OF AN INTERVIEW WITH QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSION ON THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL CONTENTS INDICATED IN THE TEACHING PROGRAM. IT IS AIMED AT ASSESSING THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ACQUIRED BY THE STUDENT AS WELL AS CHECKING THE EXPOSURE CAPACITY USING THE APPROPRIATE TERMINOLOGY. |
