Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS PROVIDING STUDENTS METHODOLOGICAL AND QUANTITATIVE KNOWLEDGE FOR MANAGING SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESSES AND DESIGNING SUPPLY NETWORKS. MOREOVER, KNOWLEDGE WILL BE PROVIDED ON EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTING SUPPLY NETWORK MANAGEMENT, UNDERLINING EFFECTS, BENEFITS AND IMPLEMENTATION ISSUES.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO: DESIGN, MANAGE AND MONITOR SUPPLY NETWORKS, ADDRESSING TECHNICAL, RELATIONAL, ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL ISSUES. MOREOVER, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO DEFINE HOW TO IMPLEMENT EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES FOR SUPPORTING SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT. THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO USE EXCEL PROFESSIONALLY IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT OPERATING TOOLS THAT USE SPREADSHEETS.

MAKING JUDGMENTS
STUDENTS WILL WORK ON REAL APPLICATIONS FOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, BOTH IN GROUPS AND ALONE. SUCH EXPERIENCES WILL MAKE THEM DEVELOP CAPABILITY OF ANALYSIS AND OF MAKING AUTONOMOUS JUDGMENTS.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
STUDENTS HAVE TO PRESENT THE RESULTS OF THEIR PROJECTS TO THE CLASSROOM WITHIN AN ASSIGNED TIMING, IMPROVING THEIR COMMUNICATION SKILLS. MOREOVER, STUDENT WILL ACQUIRE THE TECHNICAL LANGUAGE OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, AS WELL AS TECHNICAL LANGUAGE CONCERNING EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTING SUCH PROCESSES.

LEARNING SKILLS
AT THE END OF THE COURSE, STUDENTS ARE PROVIDED WITH VARIABLES AND METHODOLOGICAL TOOLS NECESSARY TO MANAGE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PROCESSES AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES SUPPORTING THEM.
THANKS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE, THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH HIGHER-LEVEL STUDIES AND, BY VIRTUE OF THE MANY APPLICATIONS OF REAL-LIFE STUDIES, WILL BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH THE WORK WORLD WITH COMPETENCE.

Teaching Methods
60 HOURS OF DIDACTICS DIVIDED INTO FRONT LESSONS (30 HOURS) AND SUPPORT TO STUDENTS FOR THE GROUP PROJECT IN WHICH THEY WILL SIMULATE A SMART SUPPLY CHAIN THROUGH EXCEL, INCLUDING TRAINING ON PROFESSIONAL USE OF EXCEL (30 HOURS).
Verification of learning
THE EXAMINATION INCLUDES:
1) THE SEARCH WITHIN SCIENTIFIC ARTICLES OF PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS THAT USE EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABLE APPROACHES. THE CAPACITY OF ANALYSING THE IMPACT OF EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABILE DEVELOPMENT ON SUPPLY CHAINS IS ASSESSED
2) PRESENTATION AND DISCUSSION OF THE GROUP PROJECT. CRITICAL ANALYSIS AND THE USE OF SIMULATIONS IS ASSESSED. THE STUDENT MUST PUT INTO PRACTICE THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE TO DESIGN A SOFTWARE THROUGH EXCEL
3) ORAL EXAMINATION WITH THREE OPEN QUESTIONS AIMING AT ASSESSING THE THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE CAPACITY TO APPLY IT TO PRACTICE
