THE COURSE DEALS WITH THE BASIC TOPICS OF ELECTROTECHNICS, WITH APPLICATIONS IN THE CONTEXT OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING. [KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING ABILITY] THE STUDENT ACQUIRES THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE MAIN ELEMENTS OF THE LINEAR CIRCUITS, THE PROPERTIES, THE METHODS OF ANALYSIS AND SOLUTION OF THE CIRCUITS IN THE TIME AND FREQUENCY DOMAINS. THE STUDENT ACQUIRES THE LEARNING ABILITY OF THE FUNCTION OF THE CIRCUITS AND COMPONENTS IN THE TIME DOMAIN AND FREQUENCY, RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE COMPONENTS, ENERGY RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS AND SIMPLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS. [APPLIED KNOWLEDGE AND LEARNING ABILITY] THE MAIN SKILLS DEVELOPED BY STUDENTS AT THE END OF THE COURSE WILL BE: • TO KNOW HOW TO FORMULATE AND SOLVE LINEAR CIRCUIT PROBLEMS IN STEADY-STATE AND SINUSOIDAL MODE IN SYMBOLIC FORM AND WITH THE HELP OF A SCIENTIFIC CALCULATOR; • TO KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY THE MOST SUITABLE METHODS FOR ANALYZING BASIC LINEAR TIME INVARIANT CIRCUITS AND SYSTEMS, AND THEIR RELATIVE CHARACTERISTICS AND PERFORMANCE; • TO KNOW HOW TO ANALYZE AND SIZE, WITHIN THE LIMITS OF LINEAR ANALYSIS, COMPONENTS AND CIRCUITS DEPENDING ON THE APPLICATION (E.G. CABLES AND POWER FACTOR CORRECTION CAPACITORS IN INDUSTRIAL PLANTS, PASSIVE FILTERS); • TO KNOW HOW TO FORMULATE AND SOLVE SIMPLE PROBLEMS OF TRANSIENT LINEAR CIRCUITS (I ORDER). |

FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE OBJECTIVES, MATHEMATICS AND PHYSICS KNOWLEDGE (LINEAR ALGEBRA, REAL AND COMPLEX FIELD ALGEBRA, MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS, KINEMATICS ELEMENTS AND DYNAMICS OF MECHANICAL SYSTEMS, STEADY-STATE AND QUASI-STEADY-STATE ELECTROMAGNETISM) IS REQUIRED. HAVING PASSED THE EXAMS OF MATHEMATICS 2 AND PHYSICS IS A PRE-REQUISITE. |

THEOREMS: CONSERVATION OF ELECTRIC POWERS, SUPERPOSITION OF EFFECTS, THÉVENIN / NORTON, MAXIMUM POWER TRANSFER. • CIRCUITS IN STEADY- STATE. SINE-WAVE MODE CIRCUITS: PHASORS METHOD, POWER, POWER FACTOR CORRECTION • THREE-PHASE SYMMETRICAL, BALANCED AND UNBALANCED, THREE OR FOUR-WIRE SYSTEMS, POWER MEASUREMENTS, POWER LINES, PASSIVE FILTERS. • FIRST ORDER DYNAMIC CIRCUITS, FREE AND FORCED EVOLUTION, TRANSIENT AND REGIME RESPONSE, STATE VARIABLES. |
