THE COURSE AIMS TO START OFF STUDENTS ALSO LACKING IN A CLASSICAL EDUCATION, ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF ANCIENT DRAMA, GREEK AND LATIN, AND PROVIDE THEM WITH ANALYTICAL TOOLS AND EXPERTISE, ALSO ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF MODERN PERFORMANCES OF CLASSICAL THEATER. |

THE COURSE IS DIVIDED INTO THREE MODULES, THE FIRST OF A GENERAL NATURE, CONCERNS ON WAYS AND FORMS OF THEATRICAL EVENT IN GREECE AND ROME; THE SECOND AND THIRD, OF A MONOGRAPHIC NATURE, EXAMINE, THROUGH THE READING OF TEXTS IN TRANSLATION, THE FIGURE OF WOMAN AND THE SLAVE TO THE SCENE OF THE ANCIENT THEATRE. IN DETAIL THE STRUCTURE OF COURSE IS THE FOLLOWING: MODULE I (10 HOURS = 2 CREDITS) TITLE: THE THEATRICAL PERFORMANCES IN GREECE AND ROME. MODULE II (10 HOURS = 2 CREDITS) TITLE: MEDEA AND THE QUESTION OF WOMEN IN CLASSICAL GREECE. MODULE III (10 HOURS = 2 CREDITS) TITLE: PSEUDOLO: THE TRIUMPH OF THE SERVANT. FICTION IN THE SCENIC AND SOCIAL SUBORDINATION IN MIDLEREPUBLICAN ROME. WARNING: DURING THE COURSE WILL BE PROVIDED ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF CRITICAL READING. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE FREQUENCY. |

THE TEACHING METHOD IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA: KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: KNOWLEDGE OF THE FUNDAMENTALS OF THE ANCIENT THEATER IN THE ARTICULATION OF GENRES AND HISTORICAL CONTEXT, UNDERSTANDING TEXTS AND SOCIAL AND CULTURAL ISSUES UNDERLYING THEM. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: ABILITY TO TRANSFER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED YEARLY BOTH IN THE FIELD OF CRITICAL EXEGESIS OF ANCIENT DRAMATIC TEXTS, IN THEIR MULTIPLE ASPECTS AND PROBLEMS, BOTH IN THE FIELD OF MODERN INTERPRETATIONS AND REPRESENTATIONS OF THESE TEXTS. MAKING JUDGMENTS: FORMATION OF A CAPACITY FOR SELF-ASSESSMENT AND SCIENTIFICALLY BASED TEXTS OF THE ANCIENT THEATER. COMMUNICATION SKILLS: ABILITY TO COMMUNICATE TO AN AUDIENCE OF NONSPECIALISTS CONTENT OF THE SPECIFIC FIELD OF STUDY THROUGH APPROPRIATE FORMS OF EXPRESSION AND CONCEPTUAL. LEARNING SKILLS: PURCHASE OF THE ASSETS AND EXPERTISE OF THE DISCIPLINE AS A BASIS FOR AN ECLECTIC AND VERSATILE COGNITIVE ABILITIES, CAN ALSO INTERACT WITH THE CONTENT OF OTHER SUBJECT AREAS. |
