THE COURSE WILL PROVIDE BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE BYZANTINE HISTORY AND STATE (330-1453), TOGETHER WITH A SHORT INTRODUCTION ON THE BYZANTINE SOCIETY AND ECONOMY. A SEMINAR WILL FOCUS ON SOME EPISODES OF THE BYZANTINE HISTORY BY READING SELECTED SOURCES IN ITALIAN TRANSLATION. |
