Objectives
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO HIGHLIGHT THE MAIN FORMS IN WHICH THE RECEPTION OF GREEK CULTURE HAS DEVELOPED IN MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE AND ART, AND THE IMPORTANCE OF GREEK CLASSICS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE AND ARTS

THE STUDENT:
- KNOW THE MAIN LINES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF ANCIENT GREEK LITERATURE AND THE BASIC CHARACTERISTICS OF ITS LITERARY GENRES BY READING TEXTS BY THE MAIN AUTHORS IN ITALIAN TRANSLATION
- INCLUDE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GREEK TEXTS AND THEIR REWORKING AND REWRITING IN THE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY AGES

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- EXAMINING A GREEK TEXT IN ITALIAN TRANSLATION, ANALYSING ITS MAIN FORMS AND THEMES
- EXAMINING ONE OR MORE TEXTS OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE
- IDENTIFYING REFERENCES TO GREEK CULTURE IN MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY LITERATURE

AUTONOMY OF JUDGEMENT
THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- ASSESSING THE DEVELOPMENT LINES OF GREEK THOUGHT, SOCIETY AND CULTURE ALSO IN CONTEXTS OTHER THAN LITERARY

THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- COMMUNICATING - POSSIBLY ALSO IN WRITTEN FORM - WITH CLARITY AND LANGUAGE PROPERTIES THE RESULTS OF THE ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF LITERARY TEXTS
- REPRESENTING AND COMMUNICATING, BY MEANS OF VIRTUAL TEXTS OR INSTRUMENTS, THE RESULTS OF OWN RESEARCH OR PROCESSING.

THE STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO:
- PREPARE A SHORT PRESENTATION ON A PARTICULAR SUBJECT OF YOUR CHOICE;
-- CONSULT DIGITAL LIBRARIES CONTAINING SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE AND PRODUCE A SHORT BIBLIOGRAPHY ON A PARTICULAR SUBJECT.

LESSONS ARE CONDUCTED WITH A SEMINARIAN AND PARTICIPATED METHOD, WITH FURTHER INFORMATION AND CLASS DISCUSSIONS ON THE MAIN HISTORICAL-INTERPRETATIVE PROBLEMS. DISPENSE WILL BE SUPPLIED ON THE MOST IMPORTANT TEXTS. - EXECUTIVE ACTIVITIES FOR THE EXERCISE OF READING, TRANSLATION AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE GREEK TEXT IN THE HALL - ARE INTENDED LECTURES AND SEMINARS OF INSIGHT HELD BY STUDIOSIS EXPERTS OF CERTAIN ARGUMENTS SUBJECT OF STUDY WITH THE COMPRESENCE IN THE CLASSROOM OF THE PROFESSOR.

THE EXAM IS AN ORAL DISCUSSION AND IT IS AIMED TO VERIFY:
- KNOWLEDGE OF THE HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT OF GREEK LITERATURE
- ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND THE GREEK TEXTS PROVIDED IN ITALIAN TRANSLATION
- ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND AND COMMENT MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY WORKS EXAMINED DURING THE COURSE AND TO INDICATE THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GREEK TEXTS.
