KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING CLINICAL PROPAEDEUTIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE BASICS FOR AN ADEQUATE COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION WITH THE PATIENTS OR WITH THEIR RELATIVES KNOWLEDGE OF THE SKILLS TO ACQUIRE THE INFORMED CONSENT TO THE RIGHT TO THE PRIVACY, TO DIAGNOSTIC AND THERAPEUTIC PROCEDURES KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAL AND DENTAL SPECIFIC TERMINOLOGY TO COMMUNICATE AND INTERACT WITH MEDICAL AND EDENTAL COLLEAGUES AND WITH THE DENTAL TEAM ACQUIRE THE SKILLS FOR CLINICAL DIAGNOSTICS KNOWLEDGE OF THE MOST WIDESPREAD DENTAL DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUES APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE STUDENT SHOUL KNOW, UNDERSTAND AND APPLY THE THEORETHICAL BASIS OF DENTAL PRACTICE FOR ADULT AND CHILDREN MODULE OF PREVENTIVE AND COMMUNITY DENTISTRY: DEMONSTRATE PROFICIENCY IN UNDERSTANDING CLASSICAL AND ADVANCED CONCEPTS IN COMMUNITY AND PREVENTIVE DENTISTRY- LEARN ABILITY TO USE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL AND STATISTICAL METHODS AND STRATEGY - LEARN ABILITY TO INTEGRATE EPIDEMIOLOGICAL INFORMATIONS WITH CLINICAL JUDGEMENT- LEARN TO UNDERSTAND THE SCIENTIFIC METHODOLOGY INCLUDING THE ABILITY TO EVALUATE DATA ANALYSIS AND SCIENTIFIC LITERATURE AND INTEGRATE THE INFORMATIONS TO SOLVE CLINICAL PROBLEMS – ABILITY TO DEVELOP DENTAL PREVENTIVE AND TREATMENT PLANS FOR THE COMMUNITY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING THE COURSE INTRODUCES STUDENTS TO THE MANAGEMENT OF ENTERPRISE, ANALYZED IN THE LIGHT OF THE CURRENT ECONOMIC, SOCIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL. STUDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED THE INFORMATION NECESSARY TO ANALYZE AND UNDERSTAND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT WITHIN THE HEALTHCARE CONTEXT. APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO APPLY MANAGEMENT KNOWLEDGE TO THE FIRMS IN THE MANUFACTURING, COMMERCIAL AND SERVICES INDUSTRIES AND TO NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS WITHIN THE HEALTHCARE CONTEXT. MAKING JUDGEMENTS STUDENTS WILL ACQUIRE THE ABILITY TO MAKE AUTONOMOUS JUDGMENTS REGARDING MANAGEMENT ISSUES, ALSO THROUGH THE ATTENDANCE AT PROBLEM BASED LEARNING ACTIVITIES. TO THIS AIM, BUSINESS TESTIMONIES AND CASE STUDIES ARE IMPORTANT TOOLS TO DEVELOP CRITICAL ANALYSIS SKILLS AFFECTING THE HEALTHCARE CONTEXT. COMMUNICATION SKILLS THE COURSE AIMS AT IMPROVING THE STUDENTS’ COMMUNICATIVE ABILITY, DEVELOPING PUBLIC SPEAKING SKILLS WITH AN EMPHASIS ON REINFORCING INDIVIDUAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS. MOREOVER THE STUDENTS WILL BE ENCOURAGED, WORKING INDIVIDUALLY OR IN GROUPS, TO EXPLOIT THE POTENTIAL WHICH SEVERAL COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES OFFER.
