Objectives
PURPOSE OF THE COURSE IS TO PROVIDE THE STUDENT WITH KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO BE ABLE TO PERFORM CORRECTLY PREVENTION, DIAGNOSIS AND DENTAL THERAPY OF THE PEDIATRIC PATIENT.

SPECIAL ATTENTION WILL BE PLACED IN THE TREATMENT OF:

- CLINICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH TO THE PEDIATRIC PATIENT
- IMPORTANCE OF THE INTERVIEW WITH THE FAMILY AND THE RECORDING OF THE ANAMNESTIC DATA
- BREASTFEEDING AND NUTRITIONAL NEEDS IN THE PEDIATRIC PATIENT
- EVALUATION OF AUXOLOGICAL PARAMETERS AND MAIN STAGES OF PSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT
- PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FOR APPARATUS AND APPROACH TO DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS
- INTERPRETATION OF THE MAIN BLOOD CHEMISTRY AND CYTOGENETIC-MOLECULAR TESTS
- CONCEPTS OF PREVENTION, PROGNOSIS, THERAPY AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY FOLLOW-UP

THE INTEGRATED COURSE OF PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY CONSISTS OF TWO SECTIONS:
1. PEDIATRICS = MED / 38 2 CFU = 22 HOURS
2. PEDODONZIA = MED / 28 4 CFU = 44 HOURS

THE FIRST MODULE AIMS IN PARTICULAR TO:
- CLINICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL APPROACH TO THE PEDIATRIC PATIENT
- IMPORTANCE OF THE INTERVIEW WITH THE FAMILY AND THE RECORDING OF THE ANAMNESTIC DATA

THE ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION AIMS TO EVALUATE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE STUDENT ON THE CONTENTS KNOWLEDGE, THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES ADDRESSED, THE AUTONOMY IN JUDGMENT, THE COMMUNICATION AND NEW LEARNING THE ABILITY.
GREAT CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE ABILITY OF THE STUDENT TO PROPOSE A CRITICAL AND SPECULATIVE APPROACH TO CLINICAL PROBLEMS.
