Objectives
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
THE COURSE ALLOWS THE DEEPENING OF SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND THE ACQUISITION OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS, TO BE GAINED IN THE VARIOUS SPECIALIST CLINICAL AREAS (SURGERY AND DENTAL CLINIC, CONSERVATIVE AND ENDODONTICS, PEDODONTICS AND ORTHODONTICS, PREVENTIVE AND COMMUNITY DENTISTRY) WITH MUTUAL INTERDISCIPLINARY INTEGRATION.
THE AIM OF THE COURSE IS TO MAKE THE STUDENT AUTONOMOUS AND FULLY AWARE AND RESPONSIBLE IN PATIENT MANAGEMENT, FROM DIAGNOSIS TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE TREATMENT PLAN, ALSO OF A MULTIDISCIPLINARY NATURE, FOR SIMPLE CASES AS FOR COMPLEX ONES, TAKING DUE ACCOUNT OF THE STATE OF GENERAL PATIENT HEALTH AND ANY APPROPRIATE SPECIAL CARE.

PRACTICAL SIMULATION ON TOPICS COVERED IN IC OF INTEGRATED DENTISTRY THERAPY II
Teaching Methods
THE TEACHING PROVIDES PRACTICAL-TRAINING ACTIVITIES IN THE AMBULATORY AND IN THE SIMULATION CLASSROOMS. DURING THE HOURS OF TRAINING ACTIVITIES THE STUDENTS WILL BE INVOLVED IN THE CLINICAL ACTIVITIES, STARTING FROM THE APPROACH TO THE PATIENT, WITH THE COLLECTION AND THE OBJECTIVE EXAMINATION. FOLLOWING THE STUDENTS WILL BE INVITED TO PROPOSE A DIAGNOSTIC WORK-UP AND TO PROVIDE MOTIVATED DIAGNOSTIC HYPOTHESES. THIS TYPE OF APPROACH PROMOTES THE HABIT TO FOLLOW THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD WITH REFLECTION AND CRITICAL OBSERVATION, WITHOUT LOOKING FOR THE SOLUTION BEFORE HAVING FOCUSED THE INDICATIONS PROVIDED BY THE PATIENT AND THE METHODS AVAILABLE TO TEACH. THERAPEUTIC POSSIBILITIES TO BE PROPOSED WILL BE DISCUSSED AND PRESCRIBED WITH THE TEACHER'S GUIDE.
Verification of learning
ORAL FINAL EXAMINATION AIMS TO EVALUATE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE STUDENT ON THE CONTENTS KNOWLEDGE, THE UNDERSTANDING OF THE ISSUES ADDRESSED, THE AUTONOMY IN JUDGMENT, THE COMMUNICATION AND NEW LEARNING THE ABILITY.
GREAT CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO THE ABILITY OF THE STUDENT TO PROPOSE A CRITICAL AND SPECULATIVE APPROACH TO CLINICAL PROBLEMS.
