Objectives
THE COURSE AIMS TO PROMOTE THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES: TO KNOW THE THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH AND THE PHASES OF EMPIRICAL RESEARCH IN THE EDUCATIONAL-TRAINING FIELD WITH PARTICULAR REFERENCE TO THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RESEARCH FACILITY AND ITS CONSTITUENT ELEMENTS; DESCRIBE THE COMPLEXITY OF EDUCATIONAL PHENOMENA AND THE VARIABLES THAT CONTRIBUTE TO CHARACTERIZE THEM; DESCRIBE THE METHODS OF CONDUCTING A RESEARCH AND THE RESULTS OBTAINED THROUGH IT WITH THE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF DATA; DESIGN AND SELECT EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES IN THE SOCIO-EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING CONTEXT.
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: KNOWING THE BASIC CONCEPTS AND PROCEDURES IN EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH; PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ON THE COLLECTION TOOLS AND METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING; ILLUSTRATE THE PROBLEMS AND METHODS OF RESEARCH IN EDUCATION
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING: TO BE ABLE TO SELECT THE RIGHT THEORETICAL BASES AS A CONCEPTUAL REFERENCE FOR EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH IN THE EDUCATIONAL FIELD AND TO BUILD USEFUL TOOLS FOR DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS.

STARTING FROM THE EPISTEMOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF THE MAIN PEDAGOGICAL RESEARCH PARADIGMS, THE COURSE AIMS TO: DEEPEN BASIC CONCEPTS AND PROCEDURES IN EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH; PROVIDE KNOWLEDGE ON THE COLLECTION TOOLS AND METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING; ILLUSTRATE THE PROBLEMS AND METHODS OF RESEARCH IN EDUCATION AND THE PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCE RELATED TO THE USE OF EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES AND TECHNIQUES.

METHODOLOGIES USED:
LECTURES, SLIDES, EXERCISES.
Verification of learning
THE FINAL EXAM INCLUDES A WRITTEN AND AN ORAL PART. THE WRITTEN EXAM, IN THE FORM OF A MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST, VERIFIES THE ACQUISITION OF THE CONTENTS DEFINED IN THE COURSE OBJECTIVES. THE ORAL EXAM IS AIMED TO ASSESS THE ABILITY OF ANALYSIS, ARGUMENTATION, REFLECTION AND RE-ELABORATION OF THE TOPICS COVERED.
WRITTEN EXAM: TEST WITH 30 MULTIPLE CHOICE ITEMS. STUDENTS WHO CORRECTLY ANSWER AT LEAST 16 OUT OF 30 QUESTIONS WILL BE ADMITTED TO THE ORAL EXAM.
