Objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE MAIN PROCESSES OF METEOROLOGY AND OCEANOGRAPHY AND AN
APPROPRIATE CAPACITY OF UNDERSTANDING TO DEVELOP IDEAS ON THE ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECTS OF
METEO/MARINE EVENTS.

APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
ACQUISITION OF ADEQUATE SKILLS ABOUT INSTRUMENTAL TECHNIQUES, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF THE
MAIN METEO-OCEANOGRAPHIC PARAMETERS, FINALIZED ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES PROBLEMS THROUGH A
MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH.

MAKING JUDGMENTS:
ABILITY TO CRITICALLY FUNCTIONALITY, EVEN IF WITH LIMITED INFORMATION, OF ACQUIRED SKILLS FOR THE
EVALUATION OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF METEO/MARINE EVENTS. CAPACITY TO ENRICH OWN KNOWLEDGE
WITH CRITICAL SENSE, DEALING WITH DIFFERENT SOURCES.

ACQUISITION OF APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION SKILLS OF PROPOSALS AND CONCLUSIONS RELATIVE TO THE
ACTIVITIES RELATED TO IMPACT EFFECT ANALYSIS OF THE METEO-MARINE EVENTS, WITH RESPECT TO
SPECIALISTS AND NOT SPECIALISTS SUBSCRIBERS. ABILITY TO HIGHLIGHT THE IMPLICATIONS OF THEIR
CHOICES, CLEARLY MOTIVATED WITH CAPACITY OF MEDIATION AND SYNTHESIS, DEVELOPED IN GROUP WORK.

BASICS OF GEOPHYSICAL FLUID DYNAMICS.
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND SEA WATER.
GENERAL CIRCULATION OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND SEAS.
METHODS FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF THE MAIN METEOROLOGICAL PARAMETERS (PRESSURE, TEMPERATURE, HUMIDITY,
WIND SPEED AND DIRECTION, PRECIPITATION, ETC.). METHODS FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF THE MAIN OCEANOGRAPHIC
PARAMETERS (SALINITY, DENSITY, OXYGEN, CURRENT, SEA LEVEL, ETC.).
THE PROBLEM OF THE ATMOSPHERE AND MARINE POLLUTION.
INFLUENCES ON CLIMATE CHANGE. THE EFFECTS ON THE ENVIRONMENT.
