UNDERSTANDING OF APPLICATION PROBLEMS IN ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING IN HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND THE FOOD CHAIN.
APPLYING KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
APPLYING THE KNOWLEDGE FOR RESOLUTION OF PROBLEMS IN SCIENTIFIC AND PROFESSIONAL: ACTIVITIES IN CLINICAL LABORATORY, ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, HEALTH SYSTEM AND FOOD.
TEAM WORK IN THE FIELD OF PREVENTION AND CONTROL OF DISEASE AND ENVIRONMENT.

EACH PART INCLUDES FRONTAL LESSON AND SELF-ASSESSMENT EXERCISES USEFUL FOR THE FINAL JUDGMENT.
PART 1: PUBLIC HEALTH - 16 HOURS. GENERAL CONCEPTS. DISEASE PREVENTION. HEALTH PROMOTION. EPIDEMIOLOGY. ORGANIZATION, PLANNING AND HEALTH ECONOMICS.
PART 2: INFECTIOUS DISEASES - 16 HOURS. INFECTIONS. TRANSMISSION. EPIDEMIC MODELS. PROPHYLAXIS. EXAMPLES OF AIRBORNE, FECAL, PARENTERAL, SEXUAL DISEASES. HEALTHCARE-RELATED INFECTIONS. INFECTIONS CONNECTED TO POOR HYGIENE AND FOOD.
PART 3: HEALTH AND PREVENTION - 16 HOURS. LIFE STAGES. CHRONIC DISEASES. NUTRITION. FOOD. POLLUTION. ENVIRONMENTAL MATRICES: WATER, AIR, SOIL. LIVING AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTS.

ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE MATERIALS AND TEXTS IN ENGLISH.

ATTENDANCE OF CLASSROOM LESSONS IS NOT OBLIGATORY, THAT OF EXERCISES is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
Verification of learning
WRITTEN TEST: MULTIPLE CHOICE TEST, 20 ITEMS AND 4 OPEN ANSWER QUESTIONS, MARK FROM 1 TO 4. MINIMUM TO PASS IS 18 POINTS. TOTAL TIME 45 MINUTES.
INTERVIEW BASED ON WRITTEN TEST RESULTS.
THE WRITTEN EXAM TEST IS THE BASE FOR THE FINAL RESULT. THE INTERVIEW MAY ADD UP TO 5 POINTS TO THE FINAL RESULT.
INTERMEDIATE EXHONERATIVE TESTS ARE POSSIBLE.
IN CASE OF ON LINE EXAM ONLY THE INTERVIEW WILL BE PERFORMED, WITH AN ADEQUATE NUMBER OF TOPICS DISCUSSED.

THE MINIMUM MARK FOR PASSING THE EXAM IS 18/30, AND IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS A LIMITED KNOWLEDGE of the TOPICS COVERED during the course;

THE MAXIMUM MARK (30/30) IS AWARDED WHEN THE STUDENT SHOWS A COMPLETE AND IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE of the TOPICS COVERED during the course.

PRAISE MAY BE ATTRIBUTED TO STUDENTS WHO REACH THE MAXIMUM VOTE OF 30/30 AND WHO PROVE THAT THEY ARE ABLE TO APPLY AUTONOMOUSLY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACQUIRED EVEN IN CONTEXTS OTHER THAN THOSE PROPOSED IN THE LESSON
