Objectives
THE COURSE PROVIDES THE TOOLS TO CONCEIVE, DRIVE AND EXECUTE DIGITAL INNOVATION INITIATIVES TO DEVELOP NEW BUSINESS MODELS. THEREFORE, THE ELEMENTS OF THE DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL PRODUCTS AND SERVICES WILL BE INTRODUCED AND HOW THESE CAN BE CONFIGURED AND MANAGED. THESE ELEMENTS INCLUDE, AMONG THE OTHER, THE DIFFERENT NEEDS OF USERS, INNOVATION OF PRODUCTS AND SERVICES, THE USE OF CROWDSOURCING AND DISTRIBUTED INNOVATION NETWORKS.
CRITICAL THINKING, THE APPLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC METHODS AND THE LOGIC REASONING TO PROBLEMS AND DECISIONS ARE AT THE BASE OF THE RESOLUTION OF THE PROBLEMS AND THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS, IN PARTICULAR IN THE DIGITAL INNOVATION PROCESSES. THE COURSE ALSO INTRODUCES MODELS FOR THE DECISION-MAKING PROCESS. THE BIG DATA AND THE QUANTITATIVE MODELS WILL BE PRESENTED (E.G., DATA ANALYTICS) TO TRANSFORM THE DATA IN BETTER BUSINESS DECISIONS. A SIMULATED COMPANY ENVIRONMENT WILL PROVIDE THE POSSIBILITY TO PUT THE ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE IN PRACTICE. EXPERT VISITS OF THE SECTOR WILL ALLOW STUDENTS TO UNDERSTAND CAREER OPTIONS IN THIS SPACE IN FAST EVOLUTION.
